Best Lounge OW on FRA

Hi guys i have a fly from Frankfurt in 5 more days. I will get to the airport like 4 hours before my fly so..... where do i kill that time.

I will be flying business with Latam so i can use Air Canadas lounge on T1 or since i have OWE i can go over to T2 for any of the lounges like Cathay or JAL.

I care about the food (i dont think i will be able to have Lunch that day) and Beers hehehehe (come on i will be on Germany)

Any tips

I was in a similar situation a few months ago (T2–T1 connection, about four hours, flying out with Latam) and liked the Air Canada lounge a lot better than Iberia's (where I was the only person) or JAL's. I didn't try Cathay's, I think it was closed. Air Canada's is the most spacious of the lot, has the best food by far, overlooks the apron and has great showers. On top of that, T2 is quite a hike from T1, so it's only really worthwhile if you want to stretch your legs.

Then again, if you do want to stretch your legs, four hours is enough time to have a stroll in the city and have an Äppelwoi (cider) next to the river which might be a nicer way to spend four hours if the weather is good.

In addition to the Air Canada lounge that waffle suggested, there are restaurants in The Squaire (office and shopping complex above the long distance train station) connected to T1. The Paulaner is often recommended for Bavarian food and beer.

The OW lounges in T2 are nothing special. AC is better.

I would say the same re the JAL lounge, good enough to spend a couple of hours wait (if needed) but nothing special.

CX's FRA lounge barely gets the job done.
Visited when flying CX FRA-HKG and would probably choose another one in the future, being also a OWE.

Your only other choice in FRA is JL, which is no better than CX.

Second this, more interesting and tastier food & drinks than in the crowded CX and JL lounges.

Back before the merger, NW used the JL lounge in FRA. So this info is possibly out of date, but while it was clean, quiet and comfortable -- way better than sitting at the gate -- it wasn't a lounge I'd go out of my way for.

It wasn't then, and it isn't now.
