Neuschwanstein private tour guide?

I'm going to Castle Neuschwanstein with 2 other friends. One is 78 (he's very mobile) but isn't very tolerant of crowds and waiting. Can anybody recommend a private tour guide that can pick us up from our hotel in Munich, and drive us to the castle and give us our own tour? Thanks!

I do not know the name of a guide, but I can comment that the access road to "Mad King Ludwig's" castle is very long and especially steep. Any senior citizen may need help travelling up hill. When I was there one could traverse hill in a horse-drawn carriage, but I do not know its timing or cost.

Single tours in Neuschwanstein are difficult, at least the guide won't collect you very in Munich. Way to the castle is not a problem as there are horse carriages and a bus (additional 15 minutes)

Various tours are available from websites that arrange tours (the site I searched was associated with tripadvisor). The ones I found generally have you train from Munich and then get you front of line tickets to the castle with a guide

Yeah, I did a check and it seemed like most guides would have us train from Munich, which is actually the easiest option. I'll have to take the bus, as my friend won't make it up that incline. I walked it before, and was definitely winded!

Would you guys recommend a guide, or should we go it alone? It sounds like doing everything independently is the way to go.

The castle can only be visited with a guide, you get a timed ticket. You canīt choose the guide. Organized tours with train ticket doesnīt make sense to me, so book everythink on your own.

If you have enough UR points, the Chase travel portal offers private tours from Munich last time I checked.

They won't close the castle for your friend, if that's what you mean by 'intolerant of crowds and waiting.'

Plan B is to have a flask full of bourbon handy :)
