LH to BA interline when transiting via FRA? (BKK-FRA-LHR)

Greetings all,

Does anyone have any recent experience / information on whether LH will interline to BA on a separate ticket, when transiting via FRA?

The proposed itinerary is:

LH BKK-FRA
BA FRA-LHR

The BA flight is a separate (reward) ticket and I'm trying to figure out if I need to program enough time to go through immigration, pick up bags and then re-check luggage at FRA (which obviously I would rather not do). Right now I'm looking at 1:40 between flights at FRA...if I shift to the next available flight, then it's 5:10 between flights!

TIA
Michael

No interlining in this case (due to two tickets). BA does not even interline BA-BA on separate tix. I suggest you build in time to pick up bags, and shift terminals, and I suspect you know the dangers of separate tickets and nit being on time...

As stated, BA don't do this anymore. This this discussion in the BA forum for more details;

Not sure if you are aware but you will have to change terminals at FRA as BA fly from T2 while LH use T1. It is a short hop on the skytrain, or via bus but will add some time.

The contract staff LH employs in BKK are unlikely to tag the luggage thru since they are instructed not to interpret other airlines luggage allowances. In the old days when every fare had a luggage allowance life was relatively good, but nowadays its rather intransparent and airlines revert to 'computer says no' when in doubt.

Assuming that luggage for the BA flight needs to be rechecked latest 45 minutes prior departure, that gives you 55 minutes to pick up the luggage (which often took me 30 to 40 minutes in FRA arriving on long-haul, depending on time of the day) and to change the terminal.
These flights which arrive that early are typically pretty well on-time, but there is not much left in my opinion.

Thanks to all (and my apologies for the cross-posting).

I took the longer connection - but in the end, LH ground staff in BKK through-checked my bag to LHR, with no questions asked. And the BKK-FRA flight arrived around 30 minutes early! So it would also have worked for the tighter connection (though then Murphy's Law would surely have dictated that they wouldn't have interlined my bag, and the inbound flight would've arrived late...).
