Christmas Markets

I'll be in Germany this weekend until Tuesday, and I was wondering what Christmas Markets would be open on Monday November 25th.

I know Heidelberg would be open for sure and probably Aachen, but I would like to know which else (especially in the Baden-Württemburg, Rheinland-Pfalz area).

Frankfurt doesn't open until the 27th. Mainz and Wiesbaden aren't open either. It's a bit early for Christmas markets.

For BW, I got Heidelberg, Baden-Baden, Freiburg, and Ulm for Christmas markets open on the 25th. I'll probably shoot for Baden-Baden since I've never been there.

I would stay longer, but I gotta the traditional American Thanksgiving I need to get home for.

Actually, according to this page (http://www.germany-christmas-market....palatinate.htm), Koblenz, Cochem, Bernkastel-Kues, and Trier should be open.

I'll try for one of those since they're closer to Frankfurt.

When does Rothenberg (at the intersection of the Romantic and Castle Roads) open? I would guess it to be as early as Heidelberg.

RothenbErg is a tiny village in the Odenwald Hills and I doubt they even have a Christmas market.
You probably mean RothenbUrg ob der Tauber. Their Christmas markets begins on Nov 29.

Pforzheim is another "early bird" that opens on Monday Nov 25.

Rothenburg starts on 29th. Cologne is another early starter on 25th.

I have a 13 hours layover in FRA, so I was thinking about stay in FCL for a while, then airport tour at 1pm (45 min), and head to the christmas market in Frankfurt.

What train should I take from FRA ?

Someone said get a train which goes to Hauptwache (two stops beyond the main station - Hauptbahnhof), is it the same one I can catch from FRA ? I need a little bit more direction.

Regional train station, S8 or S9 direction Frankfurt (track #1 - usually every 15 minutes), get off at Hauptwache. That easy. ;)

I'll be arriving MUC at 10:30 am on December 24. Will any of the Christmas markets still be open?

The market at the Marienplatz (city hall) is open that day from 10 AM to 2 PM. Take either S-Bahn line from the airport to the Marienplatz station (no need to change lines en route). If your flight is on time, you should get there before noon.
