AC Elite in FRA

Hi All,

I'm scheduled for a 10 hour layover in Frankfurt this weekend coming up. I'm debating between going into the city for a little while or just waiting it out at the airport.

Can anyone tell me which lounges are available to an Air Canada Elite? I've been to one of the Lufthansa lounges but wasn't all that impressed. Are there any really nice ones available?

Cheers

Go into the city for a few hours.

If you flying in on C, go to the welcome lounge for breakfast, then to the city, and hang out at the B SEN lounge before you leave. Post Oct 10 you will have access to the new SEN lounge in A+ which should be quite nice too.

Assuming that the OP arrives on a longhaul LH/UA flight. I don't suppose AC has any agreement with LH for the use of the Welcome Lounge?

Did you try doing a search?
Your question has been asked and answered multiple times in various forms.
"FRA layover" = many threads, including this one who has the same 10-hour layover as you http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/germa...a-what-do.html

Thanks all.

I read through a couple of the other threads. I was more so wondering specifically about lounges. Trying to find out if there was anything good.

No offense intended.

Regarding lounges it would help if you tell us which airline and class you will be flying. The best lounge if you are *G is the SEN lounge in non-Schgengen B. The Welcome Lounge is excellent if you have access to it (but it's not a *G lounge.)

Correct. AC has no special arrangement for its pax to use the LH welcome lounge.

OP will have access to the LH SEN lounges, the new B42 SEN lounge is fantastic while the A26 lounge is quite mediocre, so it really depends on where he´s flying to.
Depending on destionation OP may also have access to the new AC MLL in the B concourse (old B SEN lounge) which is supposed to open sometime later this year.

I wondered what had happened to that lounge. It seems to be taking a long time.

I am Air Canada Elite which I believe gives me access to the Star Alliance Gold and equivalents.

What do I need to get into "B42 SEN".

I'm flying back home to Canada late in the afternoon on Sunday.

B42 is gate B42. The lounge is by that gate area.
You will need your AC boarding pass and your AC Elite card.

That is a great tip, I will check that out. Thanks very much.

AC flights usually depart from B gates, so the Senator Lounge opposite gate B42 should be ideal.

Good call on the lounge. In it right now and quite happy. I wish I knew about this one last time I was here, although the layover was only a couple hours.

I was going to go into the city but now I'm not sure.
