Brandenburg/Tegel/Schoenfeld problem

I was supposed to fly into Berlin Brandenburg on August 11 with Delta/AirFrance. With delayed opening of Brandenburg, I will now be flying into Tegel I guess. Here's the rub. I am supposed to catch an EasyJet flight 4 hours or so after arriving in Berlin. Now, I have to exit Tegel and traverse the city to get to Schoenfeld for my EasuJet flight. That could be a problem. I called Delta and the service rep I talked to didn't know anything about Brandenburg not opening on time. I was hoping to get an earlier flight time so I could have 6 hours to make the transfer, but she couldn't help me at all. I'll have to call back every so often till information trickles down the line.
Question. If I get stuck with the current itinerary, am I going to miss my EasyJet flight? I'm debating whether or not to schedule a flight on another airline to get to my final destination (Dubrovnik) at a cost of an extra $300... :(

I am quite sure that it is absolutely possible to get from TXL to SXF within 4 hours. Even by train.

A random check on the BVG-Website http://www.bvg.de/index.php/en/index.html is telling me that the ride to SXF is about 1:05 hours.

So even with a delay that should be possible.

You could bike it in 4 hours. You will be one hundred percent fine. Cab it (probably 40-ish make sure he takes the A110/100) or take the 109 bus to Zoologischer Garten then to Hauptbahnof and then the Airport express (two changes, boring and annoying) suggest cab.....

I haven't heard if there is a shuttle serving the two airports yet - they may rally and provide some help to people they're making travel difficult for.

a lot of heads are rolling and more will roll. Won't open till 2013 now.

I agree that a taxi is probably the most convenient option but mytaxi says it is rather ~50 EUR and tip and it may be 60. The bus+trains takes approximately 1 hour including changes and it can be done with one stop (TXL bus to main train station + airport shuttle to SXF).

As mentioned by berlindave 4 hours is absolutely doable.

One of the nice things about Tegel ist that there is a separate baggage carousel for each gate. Once they start unloading (may have to wait 10 minutes for that!), you get your baggage quickly.

You should have no problems.
