I posted it already on another thread, bu maybe it can be useful for you too: instead of looking after a Wifi, you can use my voucher to get a free german prepaid SIM-Card with 20 € credit on it. The daily flatrate costs 2.50 € and the coverage is perfect (at airports and cities you aleways have 5 bar signals with HSDPA)
The voucher code is "Germany" and the website is www.germansimcard.com
Just use it at checkout and you will get 100% discount (the card is therefore absolutely free)
With 20 € you can go online for 8 days ^

FRA and MUC are covered by T-Mobile Hotspots. You buy time (1hr, 600 minutes, 30 days) when you log on to the system: http://www.hotspot.de/content/tarife_2.html
Both airports have free T-mobile access at the McDonalds, the code is provided if you provide a phone number they can send you a text to.

once you receive the text with the login info, are there any charges to the mobile contract?
I'll be in FRA airport soon on a 6 hour stopover, but I've not got a t-mobile sim. Would I be able to get a friend send the free text, then for him to pass on his login information to me? Would he be charged for me using it?
appreciate any help

Wifi at FRA is now free, at least for 30 minutes: http://www.frankfurt-airport.de/cont...tis-w-lan.html
The system is the same as before, you receive a text with access code. Payment is possible with Credit Card if you want to go beyond 30 minutes.

As mentioned above, WIFI is free for 30 minutes at Frankfurt.
Mind that this is a very BIG airport, in fact more like a city. Looking at the signal details, the WIFI there is not very secure: I do no banking there using this WIFI. Would advise that you use normal cautions.

My experience was different. the free 30-min wifi requires you
to input a phone number. Neither my Blau nor my simyo
numbers worked _ something about an invalid number.
In my opinion, it may require you have a tmobile number.

Free wifi at Starbucks in Terminal 2 at MUC
The Starbucks in Terminal 2 at MUC has totally free wifi now. (The service is called BTOpenZone. I'm posting this message using it.) Unlike the 30 minutes of free wifi offered by Telekom in the Munich Airport Center, you don't have to receive a text message in order to use the wifi. Apparently Starbucks found a way to break the Telekom monopoly, and so far there isn't a time limit.

Any recent updates/experiences with free wifi at FRA?
I have a four hour layover in FRA from 10:45 to 14:45. I have a T-mobile USA number but the roaming charges are usury. Any really free options available?

There's free wifi for 30 minutes throughout the airport but you will need a mobile phone to receive an access code.
http://www.frankfurt-airport.com/con...net_w-lan.html
After the first 30 mins each additional hour of online time costs 4.95 euros.
