Poker Room TR Earn Rate

Has Harrahs changed how they work Total Rewards for poker room play? Used to be that you earned poker room comps at $1 per hour, tracked by TR card but not converted into regular TR points and only redeemable at that particular casino. Was told recently that now it's just all added in to the total TR rewards credit balance. Since the TR website doesn't itemize point postings (:td: :td: :td:) I have no idea if this is true or not...

I've played in Caesars and Flamingo poker rooms in LAS and Horseshoe in SHV, if that helps answer the question.

Have not played there yet, but my understanding is that Horseshoe in IN dumps the $1/hour into your TR points balance.

I would be interested in learning whether having poker play on your account helps or hurts your overall HET comps. Best guess is it would hurt.

I'd be interested in that too. Poker play is the bulk of my casino time. At least the other big chunk of it is betting horse races; that should be very high margin for casinos given the built-in house edge of ~ 15-25% due to track takeout rates.

Maybe all that poker playing though is the reason my Harrahs offers suck!

Was told at Horseshoe Southern Indiana that poker play no longer counts toward any TR benefits. The reason for this is that since we're not really playing against the house (except that the house takes a cut, but whatever), that the benefits of swiping your card is for things like free roll tournaments and any other poker events.

Here is a thread from Two Plus Two, the poker forum, regarding HET tier credits for poker room play
