Comps

Hi
I have TR diamond status, not sure when this happened. I never ask for comps but usually get my room/suite comped.
I usually have between $5-$10k budget. I play blackjack on average $100 per hand and at least 6 hours per day. I do have the odd $1k roulette spin if I'm up playing blackjack. (if I win I up my blackjack stake to between $100-$300)

Is a room comp about the going rate for this play or should I be pushing for more?? I don't really like to ask for things but have no idea if I under/over rate my own play.

Cheers!!

If you are playing $100 a hand on BJ I would have the casino host pick up my meals and show tickets. They may or may not pick up the most expensive restaurants but they should be able to pick up all of your meals. I hope you have a designated host and I would call them before I get there to see what they have to offer and also call them the night before you check out to clear your tab

I have question on using your 7stars annual dinner at restaurants not owned by harrahs, for example Ruth Chris in New Orelenas (soon in vegas harrahs), Gordon Ramseys in paris, Besh's, nola, etc.

In Atlantic City I get RFB, so my restaurant charges are covered, but:
The "upscale" rests. in Harrahs and Caesars are IMHO not all that great, and while the food etc. is covered, the TIP is not, so if I eat a meal for $100, I pay $15-$20 in tips (15% or 20%, depending how good the service is).

The annual dinner is $500. If you were to use comp dollars at a "non-owned" restaurant it is usually 2:1 ratio, so I'd guess, they would pay $250(?)
[Your annual trip also has $500 in food credit, but, it doesn't have to be on one meal.]

At Harrah's New Orleans you get a flat 50,000 reward credits, so you don't have to use them on that trip.

Once the 50,000 is deposited in your account, you can convert it 2:1 into free slot play = $250, or wait for special days when the ratio is better.
Do all Harrah's casinos do it the way NO does?
[I guess I should check with my slot host(s) at Caesars AC and Harrah's AC, to see how it works at these Casinos.]
Thanks for the info.

I am currently Platinum for Total Rewards. Can anybody holding a Seven Star share some experiences? Thanks
My friend is a Seven Stars level 3 (she earned it all since Jan 3013 almost 400 000 tier credits) and it isn't worth it. We were both at Caesars shopping event this weekend and I am a Diamond level 1, my gift certificate was $2500 and she was only given $1000. There were other Diamond members (level 1 & 2) who were given $2500 and $5000 gift certificates, this seven star member has never had an offer higher than $2500. My friend ask Total Rewards why her gift certificate was less than some Diamond members and they told her it was based on play. How can a Diamond level 1 have more play than a Seven stars with almost 400,000 tier credits??? I know I play about one tenth of what she plays and I was given $2500. She said her offers were better when she was a Diamond member. We ask the Diamond members getting $5000 how much they gamble and their total weekend points are less than the amount she earns in one night. Also she said some of the Seven Stars Events are the same things she was offered as a diamond. She was offered rooms, flights, meals and free play as a Diamond and the only advantage to seven stars is the shorter lines at events. She is also a MGM Noir and said they treat their Noir members much better than Caesars treats their Seven Stars members. This is the first year she earned Seven Stars and after her gift card experience it will be her last. We already have our reservations at Bellagio!

(1) "Back to the Future--part IV"
(2) When I did play in the MGM system (before they tried to simulate Harrah's with tiers) I would get food but not beverage credit at selected restaurants in MGM). They then added tiers and they took food out of your comp acct. (the way they do at Harrah's).
But they never had special lines for Plat (the highest I reached).
(3)At MGM's gift promo (at the end of each year), when I went 2 years ago, there were NO special lines for top tiers, it was a total mess--you actually had to queue twice.

Depending on play MGM properties comp for food and you do not have to use your express comps. My friend is always RFB and only uses her express comps if she books 2 or 3 extra rooms for family members. That is why so many have the maximum amount of express comps allowed $5,000-$10,000 depending on tier level. Also many offers give you free play and express comps to use that trip, you should talk to your host about RFB or RFL. I am platinum and just received an offer for $1000 freeplay and $1000 express comps which will more than cover our food, spa, etc. I haven't stayed at MGM in years but I stay at Mandalay Bay and Bellagio all the time. There are express lines for Noir, Platinum and Gold at coffee shops and buffets, also priority dining reservations. It would be nice if MGM properties had priority lines for players at the cashier. I agree MGM's Holiday Gift Shoppe has been horrible the last few years, Caesars Great Gift Wrap has a better gift selection and I have never had a gift not arrive before Christmas.

Since I quit playing in the MGM system, RFB, RFL with them is not of interest to me.

+1 on the priority lines at the cashier. Makes cashier line at Caesars much better. I assume you are playing slots since you refer to the MGM Gift Shoppe and freeplay offers. They apparently don't give those to table players at MGM except at the highest levels, which is another point in the CET column for many table players. Another good use for express comps is drinks in clubs when you are not staying at a MGM casino. I have used them for food when I couldn't charge to a room as well.

How long did it take after you crossed the tier credit threshold before the status changed? I'm a Diamond with 170k tier credits (the last 25k earned last weekend on my Diamond Aspirations level 2 trip), & it hasn't changed yet.
My primary host said he would forward my account to management for the "invite review" but no idea what to expect timeframe wise.
I know my 7* retreat trip has to be taken by March 31, so I'm already looking at dates / locations...
