Name Your Game here
I'm a BJ playa. Not that good, either. :p
Thus my interest is in finding a game and a program with both decent odds and some kind of reward for continuous play. I don't know baccarat enough but that would probably be my second choice. How about you? Are you a one-game person, using just one program or can you shop it around depending on your location? |

I just started playing craps & I enjoy playing Sic Bo - but haven only found it in AC - haven't seen in it in LAS as yet. I used to play roulette, but no longer...BlackJack on occassion as well... |
I'm a craps guy. Because I usually play with a fairly low bankroll, craps allows me some continuous play and free drinks throughout an evening. When I get stupid, and make foolhardy bets, my bankroll goes bye-bye in a hurry. :)

Blackjack, Texas Holdem Poker (table game), and Craps for me.
|
Horse Racing
Poker (live) Sports Betting Blackjack (rarely, generally with promo chips or match play coupons) |
My favorite game is craps, followed by baccarat (but, only big baccarat and midi-baccarat), video poker (mostly 9/6 JoB and 8/5 BP -- favorite VP derivative game being 3 line or 5 line STP [Super Times Pay]), and roulette (AC only, since they have modified en-prison rules which are quite good for outside betters).
I've been rather fascinated by pai-gow tiles (not poker), and have been reading up on it. Though, I'm doubtful I'll ever commit the time to learn it well enough to play effectively. I find that dice provides the most exciting action, and doesn't require that I "be in the action" continuously, which I like. I've never been much of a fan of blackjack, as you can't effectively sit out hands (like in baccarat or sit out rolls, like in craps) --- and I don't like any casino game where I'm forced to play every hand. |
In order:
1) Fortune Pai Gow Poker-play two hands at a time 2) Craps 3) HL Slots 4) waiting for the wife to stop by were I am playing with a slots tax form :D Happened two weeks ago at Borgata ^ As far as Pai Gow Tiles go, I tried it in Vegas once. They gave me a brochure. I couldnt understand it at all. I literally turned my tiles over and the dealer set them house way and told me if I won or lost. I played approx 30 mins. |
My favorites are:
Lately, however, I've really liked playing craps much more than blackjack. |

I still play a little blackjack, but the swings are too great for me. And I'll play some double-double bonus just for fun, but my bankroll is not high enough to play it seriously. Mostly, however, I play 2-4 or 3-6 Hold'em. The rake at those levels is a killer, but there are usually enough bad players at the table to make up for it. I also love dog racing a few times a year. I like horse racing but I grew up around enough thoroughbred and harness betters who were customers at our family business that I know how much of an investment it is to continuously win. |

+2. Some casinos do not let you play two hands at a time, or make you play double the minimum - which for me is an issue as I play low end. It is a great social game because it's a slower pace, and I firmly believe that playing the second hand improves your odds when it gets dealt things such as two pair where going against the house way is sometimes the right play.
In AC, you can play two hands without dubling the min. During slower times of the day, min bets are $20 or $25. I have seen doubling the min for two hands in Vegas. I have also seen, as you say, not being able to play two hands. At the Wynn, you can play two hands, but one must be set the house way. |
I like Bonus Hold 'Em, which is also known as Carribean Hold 'Em poker - it's essentially Texas Hold 'Em played against the house. But I never ever play the bonus - that's a sucker bet. If you run hot, and scale your bets correctly, you can really win big (duh). I think the most I ever won was $1,800 in a single session.
Edit - to be clear, that meant a NET $1,600 for that session. |
craps and VP for me !
|
Black Jack
Craps Video Poker And, if I am losing and want to really slow things down, I'll play Let it Ride for a while. (Or if in LV, I'll ride out to Red Rocks or up Mt Charleston to get away for a few hours. Once, I lost so fast that I did a day trip to Zion Natl Park!) |
