They've changed the screen on the slots in Caesars Palace for viewing Total Rewards Card info. Perhaps as in AC, you will (eventually?) be able to order drinks from that screen with a programming upgrade.

From memory, I think I have seen these at BAL, PHL, NOLA, and Ak-Chin. |

I sure hope not. Those touch screen drink orders are a terrible idea. You can't easily customize a drink order. It's very easy to order a real Irish coffee when speaking to a waitress in person. Explaining to your slot/VP touch screen that you want coffee with sugar, Jameson's/Bushmill's Irish whiskey depending on your religious persuasion, and cream is impossible based on the rare occasions I have tried.

I'm in Vegas now. The Caesars Rewards desk gave me a list of the locations where Diamond Plus and above can get their free drinks. However, it is slightly unclear as to what actually is for the free drinks and what is for the Seven Star food benefit.
To throw another wrench into things; all bars in Vegas are closed so most of the options are not available. The staff seem to have no idea about how it all works. Today as a Diamond Plus I was able to use $10 for food at a restaurant. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...93d37deda9.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...c665b77dfe.jpg |
Don't know what the columns on the above list mean but $10 food credit at Restaurant Guy Savoy - marvelous, would get me a caraway seed . A couple of free drinks however could save you a little.
This would be my pick: A Selection of Our Most Rare and Prestigous Cognac Hine, Talent Grande Champagne $1400 2oz pour - I wonder if they would throw in a dash of Dr Pepper as well? |
I was at Paris in Vegas in June and it was difficult to get food as I can’t walk far and the room service is closed. Having the lounge open would’ve been nice. The main restaurant didn’t open until 9am and you had to sit out in the casino where it is fenced off to look like a sidewalk cafe. The first day I went at 9am and just one man on a slot machine chain smoked until my eggs tasted like cigarettes. I hope they return room service and open the club soon. I go again next week and hope the Diamond Check-in is open. All the perks of being a diamond were closed in June.

I was staying at Caesars Palace this past weekend, it seemed more crowded than pre-closure days. On Friday evening at 6 pm the check-in lobby was packed (even the self-check area had long lines). As a 7* I got free coffee at Starbucks (but a "food" item wasn't free), at 10 am on Sat. the line was HUGE.
The food court in the Forum Tower had short lines in the early evening. In Atlantic City Caesars has reopened the Diamond Lounge (@25% capacity = medium wait times); the 7* Lounge used a section of Nero's for overflow so no lines, the menu choices were less than before, but still nice! On Sunday morning even the airport was more crowded than "normal", |
What about for basic Diamond members?

I know many of the bars that used to give free drinks to diamonds and 7* stopped doing it. But a few of them still do. But it's really hit or miss, since there's no standard policy for it. The ones I know of that still do are Cromwell Lobby and Bond bars, Bally's lobby bar, PH Heart Bar (REALLY hit or miss). This was based off my last trip back in February. |

That was a nice Diamond benefit that Caesars killed last year.

Was this only for diamond plus, or also for us regular diamond heathens? Granted, if I'm at a bar I'm usually either playing VP or in a work group running up a bill with a bunch of people all pretending that they don't care about the cost.
For me, the value was not in bars on the casino floor; it was in restaurant bars. I could sit at the bar of Jack Binion's Steakhouse, for example, and have a couple of good cocktails for free while I eat dinner. |
Any word on when they will reopen in LAS? I am surprised they are still cloed since the lounges are showing open in some other cities.
I have a trip coming up in April and if they aren't reopen yet thinking of staying at the Virgin instead since they have no resort fees and I'll get my Hiltoin diamond benefits there. |
I stayed at Bally's a few weeks ago.
I swiped my card at the kiosk and received the following: Four vouchers for a drink at any Caesar's-owned bar (for I think up to $20 -could be off on that number). Also a voucher for $10 off at any Caesar's-owned restaurant or the carry-out place for food only. They expire at midnight that same day, but the good news is you can get another set then next day. I stayed there four nights and received four sets of vouchers. This is supposed to replace the closure of the Diamond Lounges for the time being. Now I received this as a 7-Star. I asked someone in line and they said they were a Diamond and received the vouchers too, but I didn't ask if they received the same amount as I had. |

Personally I might prefer this over the Las Vegas lounges anyway. I wonder if these vouchers are for Diamonds that qualify for free lounge entry, or for all Diamonds (some that have to pay 1,000 rewards credits to enter). |
