probably a stupid question about status years
so my missus managed to get platinum status with total rewards using out annual holiday in vegas last year, I hear this was applied on 1st jan this year. We have just got back from this years holiday ( using the platinum card they gave us when we got there), am I right in thinking that she gets platinum on jan 1st for another year?
also I presume there is no way to get tier credits if I am not in the USA ( we are in the UK) as she is at 7000 points.
thanks in advance for your help guys.

If you made TR/CR Platinum status last year, it is only good till January 31st, 2020. If you don't meet the tier credit requirements for Platinum by December 31st, 2019, which is 5K TCs, then you get bumped back down to Gold.
7000, is that Tier Credits or Reward Credits? If it's TC's, then you already made Platinum again this year and will be good till January 31st, 2021. Whenever you make status, it is good for remainder of the year and next year.
Unfortunately, yes, there's no way for you to earn TCs if you're not on property.

oh that's good, the 7000 tier credits was sept this year, so we get all of next year, I think I had confused myself with the if you don't already have a level and you hit 7000, u get it straight away. So that's ace, cheers.

The Total Rewards programs in the UK and US are different. When I was in a TR property in London they matched my US status (diamond) but the UK program doesn't have the same level of benefits so I doubt the reverse would be true (I think I got a free drink voucher for signing up). I liked the casino though and would go back next time I'm in London.

oh right , that's a bit of a shame. In the same way I was a bit gutted that we got an email offering a free night til jan2020, which I think is the one for hitting 5000 tier credits. bit gutted as we aren't back in the usa till may, was hoping the 5000 one would last till jan 2021when platinum runs out. oh well.
cheers for your explanation.

Free nights earned due to TCs earned in CY 2019 must be redeemed by 1/31/2020.
