Making most of status matching in Vegas (Marriott Gold)
I will be traveling to Vegas soon and I’m trying to figure out if there is anything beyond the current status Match that I can use to improve my trip.
I received Marriott Gold Status through a challenge and have been able to push that to Wyndham Diamond Status. From there, I’ve applied to Caesars total rewards to try and get the $100 dining credit and possibly the show tickets.
Is there any real immediate benefit to creating a new MLife account to get a status match there in person in Vegas? Is there any other loyalty programs I’m missing here?
I do not have any airline status currently and fly southwest 3-4 times a year (because of the hub I am out of).
Am I missing anything that we could get beyond what I’ve already mentioned? I’ll be there for 3 days, so I have some time to make the most of it.
Thank you in advance!

AFAIK, not many other programs, if any, are tier matching on the strip. With the exception of MLIFE (which can only be done at MGM, given that you never had an MLIFE account before). Maybe downtown, but may not be worth trip. There's like $5-$25 FP for new signups and/or tier matches. Can check American Casino Guide.
Not completely true. Besides Borgata, the other MLIFE locals like MGM Springfield, and MGM National Harbor are also doing tier matches. MLIFE LV doesn't advertise it, but from several data points, MGM Grand is tier matching competitors. One of the criteria is that you're a new MLIFE member and never had an account before.

mlife status doesn't offer much in the way of level-based perks.
CET is the only program that has value without gambling - the resort fee waiver for diamonds.
the line-cutting benefit is also nice for diamonds - many times it's not really "advertised", ie there's no sign saying "Diamonds/7*".. example - GR burger at PHo - just walk up to the counter, show your Diamond card, and ask how long the wait is. worst thing they can do is point you to the line out the door, but that's never happened to me.

by the way, unless you are in the habit of collecting plastic cards that are essentially meaningless, there's no point in status matching all over the place if you have no intention of dining / patronizing these resorts/casinos. giving them your info (name, address, ssn, etc) will guarantee an endless stream of marketing offers, junk mail, and whatever.. it's not worth it unless you plan on gambling there.

Hopefully you did the CET match at least a week or 2 in advance prior going to Vegas, since the $100 Celebration Dinner takes a few days and up to a week to load onto your account. Be advised, there is no complimentary lounge access with matched Diamond status. It requires 25K in tier credits to access the lounge, or 1K in reward credits, no cash accepted. Besides what you mentioned, CR Diamond does get you complimentary access into some of the clubs, some free drinks at certain bars(unpublished perk), line cutting privileges at check-in and restaurants, and free parking.valet. Not much beyond that in what's included with the tier benefits from their website.

At Omnia, as a diamond, you and a guest get complimentary access and get to cut the line. The comp access depends on the DJ that night and how busy it is. Platinum also gets to cut the line now too but no comp access. Though hard to see, there's usually a sign next to the general admission line. Drai's is a hit or miss. Chateau and Voodoo lounge used to offer comped access for diamonds+, but there's been mixed reports lately of them offering that perk sometimes.
Lobby Bar at Ballys, Heart Bar at PH, the bar across Linq check-in, Bound bar at Cromwell, all have offered free drinks for diamonds. There's a few more that I can't remember.
Be advised, since these are "unpublished" benefits, it's not 100% and your YMMV. Just ask nicely and worst they can say is no. Also, as a diamond, on the gaming floor you can ask for Fuji/Evian and also some top shelf liquor that they don't offer to regular guests. Just have to ask. But then again, a nice tip will also get you those I'm sure.

Since a lot of the places that develop actual queues do indeed have priority for Diamond/7* it seems like this would be a good general practice, at least to find out whether it's the case.

Agreed, since it's a listed benefit, all a member has to do is ask or check for a sign.
