Cosmopolitan is garbage now. They used to be my go to hotel for staying, and go to casino for gambling. Now I avoid them completely (except for secret pizza) offers I received were garbage (now I dont even receive them) and the service level tanked there (both on the hotel and casino side)
What's crazy about some of the changes (like the cap on Identity compback for on-property spend) is that they negatively affect the biggest spenders. Maybe Blackstone is betting that we'll still spend regardless, but they're wrong in my case.

I haven't been back there in two years, despite getting frequent offers of >$2000 in Identity Play and the standard $300 in food.
Service there is awful. My host can't even find time to come by or call to see if I need anything (and believe me, I'm one of the most undemanding gamblers there are). They gave my suite away late one night even after calling them twice to alert them my flights were delayed but I will still be there. The best one was when I called VIP Services to ask about something being comped. The agent didn't want to call my host (or even any host) and insisted that I do. We had a small back-and-forth about it and he then put me on hold. But he really didn't, and I heard him tell someone that he had one of (host's name) pain-in-the-... customers on the line. Really nice.
So 7* is okay (although the benefits are being reduced), but my go to now is MLife. They really treat their Noirs there great.

I'm going to check out Cosmo hotel for the first time if the Cosmo host can match my CET offer. I did notice they seem to only count SLOT play and don;t do much with table play.... Does cosmo have something like a Diamond lounge that CET has? Was kind of disappointed when their identity desk didn't status match me when signing up.

Identity won't automatically match status as a matter of policy, but casino hosts will grant status, making it a de facto status match on a case-by-case basis.

It's not really an "exception". The point is that Identity is much more fluid since hosts are forced to micromanage their players (e.g., even table games players have to be assigned status level manually by the host since the program rules changes a few years ago).

Nevermind. pointless to discuss further.
