Mlife Tier Credits

I honestly can not remember, and hope someone can help.

I know that tier credits expire every September 30th, but do you keep your level for the next year as long as you accumulated enough tier credits in the preceding year? I assume its yes because otherwise every October 1st Platinum and gold folks would be pissed getting sent back to Sapphire.

The math below to help out

Assume you get 77,000 tier points by September 30th
You need 75,000 to be gold

On October 1st your bank of tier points goes to 0 and you have gold until the next September 30th while earning tier points to requalify for the next year.

It works like most loyalty programs, with status being granted for the remainder of the current year and the following applicable year. As per the mLife program rules:

Redemption of Benefits and Rewards

15. A member qualifies for the corresponding benefits (as identified by MGM and listed on its Program website) on the date on which the member earns the minimum amount of Tier Credits associated with the Tier Level. Tier Level benefits are valid from point of Tier Level advancement until at least September 30 of the following year. Tier Credit accumulation and qualification for Tier advancement is determined between October 1 and September 30 (“Accumulation and Advancement Period”). Tier Credits may be accumulated towards tier advancement during the Accumulation and Advancement Period; however on October 1, Tier Credits will reset to 0. A member’s tier will be established on October 1, based upon the Tier Credits earned from the previous Accumulation and Advancement Period.
