As an aside, I often use their offerings to gauge the overall volume and my chances. For example, this trip is for early January of 2020 which is a very dead time in Vegas. I was even getting comp offers for Ceasar's Palace (basic room) which is usually one of the expensive ones.

So, I just called the number for The Flamingo and asked about suites and higher rooms than are showing online. They got me into a "Studio King Suite" which is a couple hundred square feet bigger (550-600 I think) and has a living room of sorts (but no closing door to the bedroom from the pics). I may have even been able to get something bigger or called other properties but I was pretty happy with what I got.

My understanding of the hierarchy at Caesars is:

Cromwell & Hotel Nobu
Caesars Palace
Ballys-Flamingo-Paris-Planet Hollywood
Harrahs - Linq
Rio

I've never seen total comps for Cromwell/Nobu - Rarely for Caesars, about 50/50 for Ballys, etc., and often for Harrahs, Linq and Rio. Again, it varies greatly depending on the time of year or events in Vegas at the time.

Of course, this mostly all the result of how much gambling you do while there.

I recently got Diamond status with the FoundersCard so the no resort fee thing is HUGE. I used miles to book flights, will get my Diamond $100 dining credit and get free food at the airports with the Priority Pass (Chase CC). So, basically a free trip from start to finish.... other than gambling, of course.
If you don't mind sharing, how much is your usual gambling outlay per trip? Are we talking low, mid, high 4 figures? 5? In theory, the casinos aren't supposed to count the fact you win against you right? Just that you are sitting and gambling.

I don't go too nuts... I was there for 4 days recently and lost about 1500. I was probably at the table 4-5 hours a day. My wife played (and lost) a lot less. I find I have as much fun playing $10/hand as I do $50/hand so I generally stick to lower amounts. It always does amaze me how many people I see sit down and cash in $500 and throw around stacks of green ($25) chips for 20 minutes and lose it all. They must have a much better job than I do!

Yeah, the time and average bet is what they are after. They understand people will win sometimes but over the long haul they lose so the amount of time is key. I tend to go for games that are slower pace and have some chance of a big win. Basically, anything other than blackjack. I really like Pai Gow.

Yeah that is why I like the table games...you can kind of make it seem like you are gambling a lot...without really doing that haha. Sigh, craps is supposedly one of the better odds games, but man you really need a huge bankroll to ride out the bad streaks to really make money. I tried to go with the cheap "dice pop" machines (really don't trust those dice) and I had a system in place on going don't come and buying 6 and 8 but I couldn't figure out the damn screens fast enough so my betting was thrown off.

Pai Gow is definitely a nice SLOW game. Baccarat I found to be pretty lucky for me, and slow.

My friend this weekend found a free bet black jack. 15 dollar minimums, but minimum can be split between the hand and a side bet. The side bet pays out for any non-10 splits and double downs of any non-Ace 9-11. And the casino will pay out certain multipliers on your side bet depending on how many times you split and/or double in a single hand. My friend hit 100:1 odds on it (I think split/double 4 times or something) and was able to get 1K on a $10 side bet.

Casino pays for your splits and doubles, so you don't have to risk more money to potentially win more money on the hand itself. It was hilarious on how the players were not happy to get blackjacks haha they were shooting for pairs or 9-11s.

Anyone Feb 1 or later match processed? It says it can take seven days but historically not that slow. Worries the jig is up.. and I have an upcoming stay that would be $40 a day more expensive if my resort fees stay due to not being Diamond again.

I submitted my match 2/1 and am still waiting. Also somewhat worried. I appreciated the heck out of this status.

Ohh goodie. I'm going to try this in the next month or 2. I just got my Wyndham matched from my IHG card to Diamond for 90 days. Next to submit my Wyndham Diamond to TR Diamond! That will also force me to visit vegas at least once before my newly Diamond status expires in 1 year from the date.

For everyone that is waiting, when you submitted the status match from Wyndham to Caesars, did the screen say you are now matched to Diamond. Your account will be updated....? I should have done a screen capture of it saying that, but I felt relaxed by the immediate recognition that my Wyndham account status would match me to Diamond Caesars, but since you guys are all worried, I am getting worried too.

Randomly did status match from SPG Gold to Wyndham to status match to CTR last year...Wyndham apparently didn't care that I didn't make the status match, gave me Platinum for 2020 and I just re-matched to CTR Diamond...curious to see how it all turns out

Just wanted to add my datapoint that I am listed as Caesar's Diamond until 2021! BTW, anyone have any idea on the value of 70 tier credits? I got that for my last trip, but have no idea on what that gets me, if anything.

Worth nothing, unless you're trying to maintain diamond organically which is 15K TC's. If you earned TCs, you most likely earned RCs(reward credits) also, which 1RC=$0.01.

haha...thanks for the conversion. I was thinking that ($.70) was about what it was worth. Oh well, hopefully certain teams do well enough to make it worth my while to make another trip and use my $100 in dining credit!
