From the Caesars site: For Diamond members earning less than 25,000 Tier Credits access will be 1,000 ($10.00) Reward Credits for the member and an additional 1,000 for their guest*. Reward Credits are redeemed at the lounge upon entry.

What does this mean? Can I just pay $10 to enter the Laurel lounge or must I redeem 1000 reward credits? I have 0 reward credits.

I believe you have to use reward credits and can't just pay cash, but I'm not 100% sure of that.

If it's possible and allowed, I'd be happy to gift someone my 5000 reward credits I got from becoming TR Diamond if they give me 2000 reward credits so I can use them to enter the lounge twice at Caesars.

If you didn't hit 25K TCs last year or this year yet, the fee to enter is 1K in RC's and cash is not accepted.

Not quite sure I understand. So you have 5K in RC's? Then all you need is 1K in RC's to enter.

I think I must have read the benefits wrong. I read "gift" as in free - but now it makes sense that it's more of a transfer of points.

Yeap, you're allowed to gift (transfer) someone up to 5K in RC's, if you have it. Depending which lounge you go to, IMO, it's not really worth the $10 in RCs to go into any of them in Vegas. AC is a different story.

If you happen to have decent play with them, can always stop by a host office to see if they are able to comp you into the lounge. But if you have zero play or it's a tier match, then chances are slim to none.

Yes, not just at AC, but at all CET properties. Be advised though, your status would expire January 31st, 2020 and you would also have to use the celebration dinner by then.

Anyone know how long it takes for Caesars Rewards to approve a match from Wyndham Diamond?

FWIW - I matched (online) in December of 2018 and the rep just went ahead and put it all the way through 2019 as a courtesy. It might be worth asking for that since it saves everyone effort.

When booking a room, do gambling reward programs follow hotel programs in the sense that OTAs are categorically excluded from any and all status benefits? What about booking a Caesars property from the Wyndham site?

Thanks to OP for the tip. Plan on matching on Jan 1st to ensure that I don't expire before my trip in Feb 2020.

Hoping someone that already has Diamond can help me. Need a room for Feb 14. Can someone with TR Diamond look up and see if I have any chance at a comp room with Diamond?

You don't get comps just because you have Diamond. Comps are offered based on (past) gambling activity or from casino marketing and are specific to each member. So someone else looking will tell you nothing. Diamond will avoid the resort fee.

The lexicon gets a little confusing when looking at room rates. Diamonds (I believe?) get better room rates in general regardless of play. It's not uncommon to get $0 rooms on unpopular days/times of the year just to get you in the door. Those rates show up for me as "COMP".

Or am I way off base here? I'm happy to be corrected... In fact, I'd appreciate it more if it meant my craps time was earning me comp rates.

CET status benefits will generally follow you because it's more about your presence in their properties than it is about what you're spending for a room. Priority lines, free show tickets, free celebration dinner, free parking - all of this stuff you don't even need to be staying in one of their hotels to take advantage of.

What I'm not sure about is the "no resort fees" benefit. The OTA would probably charge you their rate plus resort fees with no ability to recoup because you're paying them, not the hotel directly. I'd be shocked if you got a better deal from an OTA vs direct with the hotel if you have status anyway.
