I've never stayed at any CET casinos before (except PH when it was still part of SPG). I just got status-matched to Diamond and I'm just wondering if it's a norm to get a nice complementary room upgrade at the CET casinos for a Diamond member, or do you still need to try the $20 sandwich trick to get a nice upgrade?

This site updates every month for the shows on the list or they have a hard copy list at the total rewards desk.

You have to go to the total rewards desk and ask for your free show vouchers. You then take those vouchers to the box office and tell them which show you want to use them for.
How often can I get the free show tickets as a diamond member? Every month or once a year??

If your Black Label card was active, you should have gotten an mLife gold card in the mail. In lieu of that - you still get one at Borgata.

Upgrades are not listed as a Diamond benefit. That being said, I think they have a bit of latitude to assign a nicer room at Diamond check in (e.g. I got Augustus tower at Casears Las Vegas when my comp reservation was for the Palace tower). But it's not always the case, as a couple years ago at PH I got an older Hip room when the person checking in next to me got a remodeled Ultra Hip.

The free tickets are once per month. I've heard that if your reservation spans the turn of the calendar you can actually get two sets of free tickets.

Thanks for the great info mudpuppy! One last newbie diamond question: is there any restriction on the $100 celebration dinner where I cannot use it? Can I use it at Mr. Chow or Bacchanal buffet?

You can pick up a list at the TR Desk at their casinos. I don't recall those being on the list last time I got my celebration dinner (in January) but I do remember that not all of the TR Casino restaurants were on the list.

The Bacchanal buffet for sure. But, yes, it has to be a Caesars owned and operated restaurant. Always be sure to check, if it's an issue. For example, I have used it before at the Caesars AC Gordon Ramsey Pub (at least I believe I did, my memory gets crazy sometimes).

You did. Thought I had my paper around from January with participating restaurants on it, and the Pub is on there. I used it at Martorano's.

TR's answer online is to check the chart at https://www.totalrewards.com/content...-location.html . If the "Earn Credits" column is checked, you should be able to use it at that restaurant. But the list seems a bit out of date since Mr. Chow isn't listed at all. It's always best just to ask at the TR desk, as Seabilly pointed out they keep an updated list. I think somewhere I have a copy of the list from Vegas from February that I can try to scan if I remember.

For what it's worth, I've used the voucher at Bacchanal and thought it was worthwhile. When I went Diamonds got a free glass of champagne in addition to the normal buffet. I read a bunch of reviews of Mr. Chow and decided not to risk it (lots of great reviews but also lots of terrible reviews, and for the price I guess I would expect better than that.)

I'm laughing at the restaurant review thing, because it's almost completely true. Folks have widely varying taste buds, but if half the people like it and half the people hate it, then I usually take pause. On the other hand, if reviews are all over the place, with a ton of "it's good, but not worth the money" or "it's overpriced", then I'm game to try it. Gordon Ramsay Steak falls in the latter category. I loved it and think it's worth the price, even without getting that universally agreed upon dessert (sticky toffee pudding?). Our total came to close to $200, and we had about $100 in RCs. With drinks and such you can spring $50, 60, easily at an Outback. Was GR worth 4X that? For me it was by a mile. For others it isn't. However, looking at the cost of decent steakhouses and restaurants in Vegas, a $200 bill for two people isn't so bad. Plus, you know you're paying a premium in Vegas, comps or not.

I totally agree with you Harry. I'm more than willing to pay a premium for good food in Vegas, but I don't want to be caught paying a premium for bad food in Vegas when there are so many good restaurants!

Attached is a list of the locations in La Vegas that accept Diamond Celebration Dinner certificate, as of February this year (not sure why at the bottom it says January 31, 2017).
