Borgata Comps Question

Hello everyone I'm new to the fourm so I hope this is the right place to post this.

I decided to add an overnight stay at the borgata every time I visit my family in nj. I got my card last may and didn't play much. This trip I earned 9 comp dollars playing slots. My questions are is this considered average for one days play? Will they start to provide me with either comped or discounted rooms in the future?

Look forward to hearing your feedback

Free rooms and offers vary depending on what you are playing. Quite a few differences between slots/video poker and table games. And, even more micro-differences for specific games, but that isn't going to have a huge impact at this level.

For some VERY GENERAL comparative purposes. I am a table player with a strong average, and earn (comp dollars) $100 +/- per day and get comp rooms 7 days a week (including Fiore Suites) and around $50 extra comp dollars per visit. Match plays are around $800 to $1200 in coupons per month.

Borgata has pretty tight and "dialled in" casino marketing. You "might" receive some better offers as a new (or non-dormant) player; but for anyone reading, I strongly suggest you try to do a day of play of at least $25 to $50 (earned comp dollars) if you are interested in "decent" future offers.

For reference point, Borgata Black Card qualification (equivalent to Caesars Diamond) requires you earn $1000 (comp dollars) per 12 month (rolling) period.

Thanks for the feedback very informative.

I think you are right. As a new player I just an offer for a night during the week for either Tuesday or Wednesday in mid March. I only go for one night as I couple it with visiting family. I doubt I'll ever reach black label unless I hit big and they decided to give me one to try to get me to come back.

Unfortunately, I can't go because I'll be traveling for work. Would not taking them up on these offers affect future offers? So I try and call to see about April or just wait to see what they offer?

You should be fine for around 6 months +/-. You can also always "book out" a room offer. Remember, COMP/DISCOUNTED room reservations can always be cancelled (per cancellation terms, except NYE).

Yeah, I agree with baccarat_king, Borgata's offers are very dialed in, and even if you manage to speak with a host, there isn't much they can do for you, if anything. Everything is set by the computer. I remember one time where I had a large loss, and wanted an extra night, but the host said I was only allowed 3 nights per week and I had already used that up... Really? You don't want me to lose more money? Their marketing department is just stupid IMHO.

For this reason, I actually prefer Caesar's properties, or even the Nugget. They at least offer RFB still in AC, and if you get a good host, you can move things around and get to go above and beyond what you're suppose to get. This never happens at Borgata unless you're a 50k+ player, and I think even then it's complicated. There are still plenty of nice CET (Caesars) properties in AC like Harrah's and Caesars.

Borgata use COMP $ earned for most/all of their promos.
It seems (like CET) each $5 on non-poker slots played you get 1 comp $--but you must first earn $5 comp before the counter starts to increment.
[Using Free = Bonus slot $, does not count]

I'm guessing you mean Borgota gives one comp dollar for $500 coin-in. CET gives one point (worth 1 cent) for $5 coin-in.

CET bases "status" on Tier Credits. $5 in (non-video poker) earns 1 TC. [They also have Reward Credits, used for food, beverage etc.]
Borgata uses COMP dollars for status: Black Card requires 1000 per year; it is rumoured:p that 10,000 earns Titanium level, if invited. I normally earn 150-200 comp dollars (Fri-Sat) playing non video slots, I do NOT cycle 150 x $500 = $75,000 on a weekend. So my original "estimate" is wrong.:( What is the correct value?
Free play is normally 1/2 of comps earned--they do have FP multiplier days, I've never seen comp $ multiplied.
