If you’re gonna give me a card that says my expiration date is Jan. 31, and verbally TELL ME the same when you print my card, then that’s what I’m gonna go with. Once before they tried to tell me (picking up my car) that I had to pay for valet because I “wasn’t Diamond.” I showed them the card with an 1/31 expiration date on it, reiterated THEIR policy on tier expiration to them, and told them I was told when I was given the card that it was good until 1/31....and they quickly dropped it and didn’t charge me. (And yes, I know getting the $100 dinner and comped resort fees after your technical “FC year ends” are another matter altogether.)
Seems you are going out of your way to create a problem. It's your membership that gives you Diamond status with CET, you know when you membership ends, so they treat you like an adult and require you to decide if you want to keep the Diamond status or not. Do you need them to tell you when your FC membership ends? My membership expires on May 15th, on May 16th my FC membership expires and my Diamond status with CET goes away at the same time. I can jump up and down and claim whatever I want with my little piece of plastic, but in reality I know I'm no longer Diamond, and so do they. Make Diamond the regular way if you want to ensure your dates match up.

Yeah, I'm very thankful to get the benefit from FC and I think this avenue to Diamond is used by a very few people. I also get the feeling CET somewhat begrudgingly continues to extend this offer. I haven't figured out what's in it for them. (I just can't imagine FC pays them enough directly to make it worthwhile but who knows). Anyway, I read somewhere that CET respectfully asks FC members not to brag about "buying" Diamond status so I think we're a small group. Considering how I get my status I totally understand going in that some of the rules might not apply to me. $100 dinner, waived resort fees and free parking are more than enough to pay for my FC membership. Perks like Diamond check-in and priority casio cage access don't have direct monetary value but sure are nice.

The benefit to CET in my case, is that it gets us in the door more days. We are not huge gamblers, and we would never want to sit for hours trying to grind out tier credits to make some sort of "status". Especially if that status could end up costing me thousands of dollars. Along comes FC allowing me to get the same status for a few hundred dollars, without sitting in a smoke-filled casino for hours at a time. The celebration dinners, coupled with savings on resort fees, more than make up for our joint FC membership fees. A win for CET because we stay more days, eat more food, see more shows and probably gamble a bit more than we normally would. We do use some of the other perks for the FC card, but Diamond status with CET is the main one keeping us around.

CET gets a cut from FC for each membership they sell. They know essentially how much revenue they generate from FC members vs everyone else. They can use that info to make a decision on whether to extend it or not.

Do you know this to be true, or is it just a guess?

I mean, I don't know it to be true for a fact, but none of the three sentences seems controversial to me. Which one(s) are giving you pause?

I was just curious if you had inside knowledge. I've often wondered about the FC business plan, seems like it's a pure money maker as they offer nothing tangible other than pass through offers to other companies. I'd ask FC directly, but I'm sure I would not get an answer.

I'm not an insider so I can't be 100% sure but I'd have a hard time believing otherwise.

I just rejoined with a friend, this is a great deal, now that Eldorado & CET have merged.
Now with Diamond CET Rewards, I can get status matched at all 53+ properties.

As a result, I am now Isle Fan Club Platinum, at Isle Casino & Racetrack, Pompano Beach, FL.

Plus you can now also transfer reward credits (comps) between the different brands.
I plan to go to Atlantic City [Trop] late this year and use some comps there.

For eight years I lived in South Louisiana and was a Isle Select at Isle of Capri Lake Charles
and a Platinum at Belle of Baton Rough.

The Isle's in Mississippi are great too (Vicksburg, Lula, Greenville [Trop]) fun times!

So now the combined brand is strong in Reno, Laughlin, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Colorado, Atlantic City, and many other Midwestern states.

Internationally there is Canada, UK, and Egypt, along with Dubai.

I got to say, "Reno's Shining Star, Reno's Own Eldorado," has quite an impressive empire!

Great post! Any idea of what perks us Caesars Rewards Diamond people now get at Isle Pompano? I'm hoping for the $100 dinner and maybe one or 2 others. I tired calling 4 times today and could not get a live person

Yes you can now get those $100 dinners at the kiosk, as well as using comp dollars for entry to the Laurel Lounge.

Caesars' stay required to use Celebration dinner?

Are Diamond members able to use the annual Celebration dinner voucher and/or free show tickets when visiting Vegas, but not staying in a Caesar's property?
