Yes, Caesars did renew and is valid through 2017.

Great news! Thanks, baccarat_king!

Do you (or anyone) know if we need to ask Founders Club to have us renewed or will we be "automatically" renewed/extended (thru Jan 31, 2017)?

The renewal year for Caesars Diamond ends on the 31st of March. It's supposed to automatically renew, but if you sign-on after the 1st of April and your Diamond has not renewed (until 31 March 2017) then just send a quick message to FoundersCard and they will contact Caesars.

Note:
From the e-mail sent to me recently by Total Rewards (according to the "new" rules at Caesars/Total Rewards), starting in 2017, status will expire Jan 31 rather than March 31.

That's super interesting. Sort of aligning with airlines. Thanks!

I joined Founderscard in July 2015. Just logged into my Total Rewards account. It went from Diamond throught March 31, 2016 last week, to now Diamond throught January 31, 2017. If anyone interested, can use referral code FCSCOTT229 for $395 with waived initiation (I think).

Yep, great catch! Awesome that they have updated the accounts automatically. This seems to be related to current membership of Diamond (i.e. extending those who renewed Diamond in 2016 to January 2017). By "renewed" I also mean FoundersCard members.

Excellent news overall.

jgxtrav1 Jan 19, 2016 2:33 am

Mine was updated as well! My Total Rewards account now shows Diamond status good thru Jan 31, 2017! Great!

I think this might be the doing of CET. I am not a FoundersCard member, and earned Diamond last year. My previous expiration date was 3/31/2016, but is now showing as 1/31/2017.

agree, hence why I said (above) : "This seems to be related to current membership of Diamond"

By "membership" I mean those who (a) re-qualified for Diamond via casino play in 2015 or (b) qualify for Diamond via FoundersCard.

7* Through Jan 2017. Does anyone know when the "rollover" TC's will post. They had a promo at the end of the year that earning certain plateaus of points would post TC's for this year.

agilmore Jan 19, 2016 4:38 pm

Is the cost $295 or $395 ?

The best one year deal is currently $395 with a waiver of the ($95) initiation fee. Feel free to private message for a referral code. There is also a lower priced 2 year deal, but it requires prepayment of 2 years.

I have also requested that the thread title be updated, since that title was from when I originally started this thread.

EDIT : Thread title has been updated, it no longer reflects any pricing.

Simmonds87 Jan 22, 2016 5:26 am

Diamond Card also updated till 2017 here! :D :D - Easily the best privilege of the founderscard! I've now saved over $1000 in Resort fees alone!

Don't forget that you should also have the $100 complementary celebration meal voucher on your card, just ask at the TR desks.

If anybody is looking to sign up, please PM me with your email address, [Referral code information edited by Moderator]

Happy to discuss the other perks, and benefits also.

So do we get another diamond dinner credit now too?

You should with every year you renew Diamond. It's a "sure thing" when you renew via casino play. FoundersCard Diamond renewals have also traditionally received it; BUT, Caesars does put a restriction in their terms and conditions. So, it could become YMMV. Though, perhaps, "restrictions" refers to where you can use the $100 credit instead of who (or how) qualifies for it.

Celebration dinner $100 (8)
(8) Restrictions apply. Please see Total Rewards Center for complete details.

As a Diamond Member, do you get better room rates? Assuming that you don't have a bunch of TR credits, etc from game play. If my only perk is not having to pay the resort fee, then I'll need to stay in Vegas for 12 days to break even. ($395/$32) Any other perks to help bring down my break even point? Discounted room rates would be huge for me.

- The $100 yearly celebration (Diamond) Dinner
- Lounge Access in Vegas (unlimited with guest)
- VIP check-in
- VIP cab line
- 2 shows (Diamond List) a month in Vegas
- Free parking in venues like AC (where parking can exceed $25 a night in the summer on the boardwalk properties)

There are probably a few others, and some other property (venue) specific.

Really most useful for one who is Platinum, but does not want to play to Diamond but has a LOT of room COMPS they will be using. I know many Platinum with 20+ room nights a year in Atlantic City and Vegas (as an example). So, that is a large savings in resort fees.

As you mention, room rates discounted and comp are based on theo (casino play).

Edit to add : the purpose of FoundersCard is multiple benefits. Such as Hilton Gold, or AT&T discounts etc. Most find a few benefits that have value. Thus, making the membership more worthwhile. That is also the overall intent of FoundersCard, not just an upgrade to Caesars Diamond.

jgxtrav1 Jan 30, 2016 8:13 am

Got an e-mail from Total Rewards (yesterday afternoon Jan 29) stating my renewal of Diamond status was incorrect and it has been rescinded. Checked my TR account and, sure enough, my Diamond status (which was good thru Jan 31, 2017) now expires March 31, 2016.

I'll be notifying Founders Club of this to see if they can follow up and get it straightened out.

Sure hope this was a mistake and will be corrected soon as my wife and I have a trip to Las Vegas planned for February; we had planned on using our new $100 dining credit on this trip as, most likely it will be our only trip together this year.

angiez628 Jan 30, 2016 12:30 pm

My husband also got that email and his account has been downgraded as well. My account was not downgraded. His founders card is a spouse card. We are not going to go to Vegas till April so I wont panic yet. Hopefully we can get this cleared up easily.

Got a quick e-mail response from Jessica at Founders Card. She will look into it and get back to me by Monday so DON'T PANIC (yet).

I'll post here as soon as I hear from her on Monday.

p.s.
Mine is not a spouse's card so, at this point, I don't think that is part of the issue.

I got the same email about an error in awarding diamond status .. I got a early April trip booked and the changed my diamond status to a expiration of 03/31/2016

FCPATRICK034 Feb 1, 2016 11:39 am

Emails from Caesars Entertainment

When I read the recent posts about the emails for Diamond being rescinded, I got worried! I called FC this morning and they told me the following:

The emails were sent out by mistake by Caesars and not from FoundersCard.
FC is currently contacting Caesars Entertainment (Total Rewards) and correcting any downgrade from Diamond to its FC members.
If you are currently an FC member in good standing, please FORWARD your email from Caesars Enterainment Group (Total Rewards) to [email protected]

They will contact Caesars to correct the mistake.

If you are interested in joining FC or want to see the current benefit listing, please message me for an invite.

Best Regards,
Patrick Y

I think that the downgrade was due to CET updating their database and that it will fall on Founders to manually update their customers' files. At least, I hope this is the case.

Got a response from Jessica Monday afternoon (Feb 1, 2016):

"So sorry about this, and we are working with Total Rewards to have your account updated and corrected by the end of today!"

I just looked at my account (on Monday Feb 1, 2016 6:20 EST) and my status is now back to Diamond with an expiration date of Jan 31, 2017!

Thanks, Jessica!

What great (and quick) customer service from Jessica@Founders Card!

I also confirmed the same today, there was a data-base "glitch." Everyone's account should be updated properly by next week (the latest).

So, nothing to worry about.

Joined last week and hope to be upgraded soon. As others have stated, the best deal appears to be $295 per year IF you sign up for two years. If you start an application but don't finish it, someone will contact you with this offer. Initiation fee was also waived over the phone.

On a semi-related note, I work in government and made no representations otherwise. This was never questioned and approval for FC was completed within 24 hours. Feel free to PM me if you need a code or have questions.

@ baccarat_king. I"m currently founderscard members and my TR diamond status is set to expire on the 31 this month (March). Will my TR automatically renew or I need to contact founderscard member services to have them contact TR for the renewal. Thx

As long as your FoundersCard account is still enrolled (renewed) it should have updated (your Diamond account). I would contact FoundersCard with your Total Reward Diamond Number so they can get this taken care of.

Did you check your TR account online to see if it had been updated?

If it's been updated, it should show an expiration date of 1-31-2017.

CET has renewed with FoundersCard. CET just raised resort fees to $36 (including tax) per day on most of their resorts.

For more info can on CET Diamond with FoundersCard PM me.

Referral code for $400 off, FCSCOTT229

Diamond Benefits:
* Waived resort fees
* VIP check in
* VIP lines for restaurants, etc.
* First on the CET shuttles between Rio, Ballys, and Harrahs
* Diamond Lounges - wonderful benefit
* 2 free show tickets PER MONTH
* $100 annual celebration dinner comp (I got it no problem, have read reports of not guaranteed). Good for many, many restaurants. No problem at all to use
* At some CET, better quality comped drinks (I asked for Crown Royal Reserve, said could no do, then saw the Diamond card, and no problem) YMMV
* Special parking at some CET - Windsor, Canada for sure

Other benefits of FoundersCard, almost as good = Hilton Gold Status = Upgrades, free breakfast, etc.
Sixt Platinum status and discount - I reserved a full size car, ended up being upgraded to a Mercedes in Orlando

mudpuppy Mar 14, 2016 7:38 am

This option is looking better and better. At $36/night resort fee plus the $100 dining credit, it wouldn't take long for this to pay for itself. I'm guessing that once CET starts charging for parking in Vegas that this will have an added benefit of free parking.

Well, we have had the benefit of (free) Diamond Parking in Atlantic City for years. So, my guess is that it will be an added benefit if/when Caesars Entertainment charges for parking in Vegas. FWIW, the benefit in AC can be as much as $40; which is the highest rate (I believe) Caesars charges for parking (valet) during the height of the summer season.

Does anyone know why the expiration date is now 1/31/2017? Did TR change the expiration date in general or does it expire early for FC members only? Normally TR Diamond level lasts thru 3/31 of the next year.

By the terms of on the website :

Where applicable. Resort Fees are not automatically assessed for Diamond or Seven Stars members, but such packages may be purchased upon request with Reservations or Front Desk Agent. The amenities covered by resort fees will vary by location. Please ask Reservations or Front Desk for more details.
But, I believe there is some variation property to property. I seldom frequent Caesars properties in Vegas; but perhaps some here can talk about their recent experiences (as Diamond, Resort Fees and benefits like wifi/gym)

mudpuppy Mar 24, 2016 7:54 am

I received the following E-mail on January 30:

We are pleased to inform you that beginning February 1st, all Total RewardsŪ destinations will offer the following hotel benefits:
Early check-in and late check-out will be complimentary for Diamond and Seven StarsŪ members when available
Resort fees will also be complimentary for all Diamond and Seven Stars members, and all elements included in the resort fee will be complimentary
Seven Stars members may also enjoy one complimentary movie per day*
We will continue to keep you updated as we introduce other changes to improve your Total Rewards experience. Thank you for your continued loyalty!
