Upgraded in 3 days!

I have a founders club card and have a reservation at Paris Las Vegas in 2 weeks. I messaged customer service at FC and they were very helpful and within 3 days my account was upgraded to diamond. Anytime I've had an issue with upgrades or status not posting, their customer service has been great.

If anyone needs a referral:
Use my VIP Promo Code FCSTUART377 for an annual rate of $395 (vs. our standard rate of $795), valid through August 15, 2015.

The AT&T and Apple discounts alone paid for my membership, plus the other discounts.

Great tip, thanks for sharing. igzolt should contact FC directly to expedite the process in time for his trip.

thanks i sent an email to member services right after i paid my membership dues (6/30) and they said, expect ~4 weeks. i emailed again afterwards seeing your msg and they said they have passed my request for expedited process to caesars.

i'm guessing they might typically process upgrades the 1st of the month?

Just signed up!!! hopefully i get upgraded soon!!

If anyone would like a referral PM!

Does anyone know if they check the card for Diamond lounge access?
I was just curious to know if one can lend the card out to others to use.

They ask for photo ID with your Diamond Card. There are ways around this, but they tend to not be particularly easy.

They swiped mine and checked my license this past weekend when I used it at Paris Las Vegas. Your mileage may vary and it was my impression that when I went to the Total Rewards desk and they asked me if I wanted 2 or 3 cards that my spouse could use it as well.

I had the same experience, but man, was that cool this past weekend.
Used the Diamond lounge at least 4 times and they were great. Couldn't have been but 20 people in it at most. Comparable to a nice Admirals Club or better with free top shelf booze and hot appetizers between 4:30- 6:30 but plenty of cold snacks/desserts otherwise.

Also got to check in at the private Diamond/Seven Seas room versus standing in the lines and lines of regular check in. It was great to cut lines in restaurants, taxi lines, night clubs and even got 2 free show tickets (I guess that's a benefit every month, if I decide to go monthly). We used that to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris, which also had a huge line....except for Diamond. Oh, were they pissed when I whipped that card out and got right on.

If I would have got cracking on this sooner, I would have got $100 credit to use in one of their restaurants (yearly benefit) but they say it takes about 30 days to post, but they were sure to say that "I could use it on my next trip.....". Lol!

It was nice being a high roller and not gambling one cent! I'm no shill for the FC card, but glad I took advantage of that benefit since I was going anyway to meet some friends. It made for a very nice relaxing trip.

Interesting info on the $100 dinner credit, couple of questions on that...

Does it have to be used in one transaction?
Whats the process for getting it, do you have to request that its posted to you? I've just applied for membership and am looking to go to Vegas in Mid September so fingers crossed its ready in time...

Usually multiple cards is for something like playing multiple slot machines simultaneously - i.e., earning points/credits.

It has to be used in a single transaction. You must visit a TR desk and they give you a print-out receipt to use when you pay at the applicable restaurants...it works kind of like a $100 coupon usable only once that must be picked-up in-person at a TR desk.

Agree, it is really an amazing benefit for those who frequent Vegas or other venues with Caesars Entertainment Properties. (and, also why I started the thread.... :D )

I have also been able to "claim" the coupon via the TR Kiosks in Atlantic City.

Just a point or two about the $100 Diamond Achievement (Qualification dinner).
It is NOT guaranteed that you will get this as a FoundersCard upgrade to Diamond. It seems many have, but I did reach out to FoundersCard and they said they cannot guarantee this benefit.

It is an awesome additional perk, just wanted to be clear that it is not guaranteed. I also seems to vary by individual player account (Total Rewards Number) and perhaps if they have had other casino play at the Caesars Entertainment properties.

Awesome, seems to be quite consistent lately.

Also,
Until the 31st of July; you can also receive a "free" AA Platinum Challenge if you you join FoundersCard, this is the FlyerTalk thread about that status.

In addition, if you do want to join FoundersCard feel free to contact me prior to the 31st of July 2015.... I have a "special offer," but prefer to discuss via email or PM.

I have no idea. I have earned Diamond only through play. I simply answered snevillio's specific questions regarding the benefits mechanics....that poster may be more interested. ;)

No worries.

I had a conversation with FoundersCard the other day, and the $100 Diamond benefit (dining) came up.

Since most of the folks around here are "earning" the Diamond status by purchasing FoundersCard membership, I just wanted to be very upfront that this is not a GUARANTEED benefit.

Do you know if FC Diamond members get the show tickets benefits?

AFAIK, there should be no issue with the (Vegas) show ticket benefit. I'll try to get clarification though.

Has anyone been denied the 100 dollar dining credit or the two free show tickets . What was the explanation why? Thanks

I have inquired with FoundersCard and the $100 (appreciation dinner) is not guaranteed as part of the FoundersCard upgrade. Some have gotten it, and it has been surmised that they have had some play at Caesars properties. Since it is NOT part of the program, one should treat it as a "cherry on top," and not assume they will get it. And, if you do not get it there is no recourse.

I do not believe there is any issue with the show ticket benefit for Diamond in Vegas.

My thought about the $100 Diamond Appreciation Dinner is that Caesars feels that is a bonus you get AFTER you have accumulated the requisite tier points for Diamond Status. Since you "just get upgraded" with FoundersCard, Caesars does not feel you "earned" the appreciation dinner. This is my personal opinion, with regard to this benefit.

LSUcrazyman Aug 2, 2015 8:26 pm

Thanks for your help ... Has anyone got it without meeting the requirements thru gambling.I have over 15k in tier credits but they were obtained thru credit card purchases

I assume it's reward credits not tier credits; I don't believe the credit card offers tier credits.

Reward credits are what you can redeem for comps, tier credits are earned by gambling ($5 slot/$10 VP/$?? table per tier credit) and are what determine status.

Not sure who you are talking to at FoundersCard but there is a fair amount of comments on their website about this benefit. Member services associate Bryna Hoang has posted that FoundersCard members are eligible for the celebration dinner.

Hilary Hughes, Membership Coordinator, told me differently.
She did mention that it was quite variable.

Considering that it does not seem to be 100% and I do not believe it's listed as a benefit for signing up via FoundersCard (for Caesars Diamond); I prefer to err on the side of caution.

If most people have been getting it, well, that's awesome.

I was warned also last November when I signed up for FC. But I was able to use the $100 dining credit twice.... once in January in Vegas....and again in June in AC (I received a new one when the card reset April 1.)

Seems there have been more success than failures. Which is awesome.

I just do not feel comfortable promising the dining credit when I do a referral. I do believe it is still a "bit" YMMV.

KKB Aug 27, 2015 8:06 am

We were in Vegas the last week of July

We were able to get the $100 dining voucher no problem.
When Mom & I visited in the end of May/early June we were actually able to get TWO sets of show tickets since they are 2 per calendar month.
But as often as we go the resort fees alone make it worth it.
We prefer a larger lunch, so it is nice to pop into diamond lounges for a light dinner though the repetition of offerings got a bit tiring after 8 nights!
Plus the diamond check in had coffee & water (you had to ask for water) all day.

Just read this whole thread but I have 2 questions. So I'm a platinum member, first through the credit card but actually earned the 5000 points this year (I don't consider myself a big time gambler). I goto the horseshoe baltimore once a month, goto AC 2-3times a year, and only been to Vegas this past March. my next big trip is to Vegas in the end of January. So my first question is if i sign up now am I risking only being upgraded for 6 months since status change is 3/2016? Also I was reading from previous posts that as long as you are active/renewing FC member your diamond status will continue renewing?

#1 | Much like hotels that renew (or don't) for AMEX-FHR, you do not find out until December (approximately) if Caesars will renew. So, the ONLY GUARANTEE if you join now, is Caesars Diamond till March 2016. But, my gut feeling, is that they will review, but you never now.

#2 | Yes, as long as you are a FoundersCard member, Caesars Diamond continues to renew IF Caesars renews with FoundersCard. But, of course, if Caesars does NOT renew, you can also choose to NOT renew your FoundersCard.

My analyses if you should or should not join FoundersCard now :

You are Caesars Platinum. So, Diamond gets you this :
- $100 dining credit in AC or Vegas (etc.) that's a definite $100 value since you go to AC/Vegas
- Free Diamond Lounge access in Vegas
- Diamond Lounge access in AC (but AC has a TR points co-pay, so be aware)
- Status Match at Borgata. You mention AC. You match Caesars Diamond to Borg Black Card. You get :
Free room (for a Saturday is applicable, that can be worth a lot), F&B credit (enough for lounge), and I believe some minimal slot play. Let's call the overall benefit at Borg if you value the room around $150 or so
- NO resort fees for Caesars Diamond. (not sure the deal with Platinum); this could make or break the deal. Since COMP room resort fees can add up.
- Shows in Vegas, quite a few free shows (2 tickets a month) for Diamond, value is very personal
- Baltimore Diamond Lounge? not sure how to value. No free drinks in Baltimore. Other perks at Baltimore? Valet, priority; probably minimal value, but that would also be a personal valuation.

I guess, my point, is if you frequent AC and Vegas a few times between now and March 2016; is doing FoundersCard really that risky... and you still have a greater than 50% chance Caesars will renew; and you are then Diamond till 2017. Just my 2 cents. But, then again, I like to "gamble" a bit.

$395.00 with initiation fee waiver seems to be the "best deal" for a one-year commitment over the past few months.

Caesars benefit is active, but renewal for 2016-2017 has not been confirmed, and probably won't until January. So, if you join now, you get Caesars until March of 2016.... and until 2017 if Caesars renews with FoundersCard.

Most offers should be valid. I did also send you further details in a private message.
