Yes, Borgata puts a "minor" limitation. No matches from Resorts or Golden Nugget Atlantic City.

Interesting that Borgata doesn't status match the GN.

Personally, I "think" that is an oversight. Doesn't really make much sense.

While on the subject; Golden Nugget Atlantic City is also very aggressive with status matching.

Agree. And, from the reports I get lately, the Golden Nugget AC is one of the best kept "secrets" of Atlantic City (with regard to comps and promotions).

If you play outside AC (LAS, Reno, etc.) you have to play in a nationwide system, so, while GN might be great relative to AC, play there won't get you comps in LAS (say). [Borgata used to have a link with MGM-Mirage, now only Boyd.]

You don't HAVE TO. You may, WANT TO, but you definitely don't HAVE TO.

I know many who play at Wynncore/Venetian in Vegas, Mohegan and Borgata on the East Coast.

In any event, Golden Nugget AC and Golden Nugget Vegas are associated and do cross market and promote.

Personally, it's sometimes better to NOT have all your eggs in one (nationwide) basket. Since, if that nationwide gaming company decides they are not really interested in your business, you are "screwed."

Sticking with one major Casino system, like flying on one airline system, leads to lots of nice perks. But, as you note, I use Borgata as a backup (more so when they were linked with MGM-Mirage and I split most my play between MLife and TR).

i wonder if this will help for spg gold?

As a Seven Stars Member in the Total Rewards program, do I receive any special benefits in the SPG Program for registering to participate in the SPG-Total Rewards Member Benefits?
Yes. Hi, i'm interested in signing up for the Founderscard and this TR diamond status offer if it's still available. Are there any FC members on this thread or FT for that matter than can PM me a referral code? Thanks!

Has anyone used the founders card which made them a diamond member and went to Borgata to see if they upgraded them to Black label? Very interested in the card especially if I can get Black label at Borgata. Has anyone tried getting an upgrade at Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods?

Has anyone recently signed up for FoundersCard at $295 rate? or $395 - $100 AMEX Gift Card = $295?

Diamond status still available as of Dec?

I would sign up if any of these promotions are still active.

As far as I know there is a current active promotion for :

As a gift for the holidays, we would like to extend a very special offer to join FoundersCard at a preferred annual rate of $495.

As an added bonus, you will receive a $200 American Express Gift Card once you become a member.

Apply for Membership by December 31, 2014 at the preferred annual rate of $495 and receive your $200 American Express Gift Card using the promo code: AMEX200
This is my referral link ; but be sure to advise them of promo code: AMEX200 after you use the referral and they finalise the application.

Caesars Diamond is still active; and takes around 4 weeks. If you would like me to inquire about expiry dates; I'd be happy to inquire.

Sure,

I did inquire about Caesars status (for 2015) and this is the official response :

With Caesar's it is officially good through March 2015 (note it does take up to 6 weeks to process once member and it is requested). We expect it to renew.
