Total Touch at Harrahs- ordering straight from your slot machine!

I just saw a graphic that seems to indicate that slot machines now have a drink order button in which one can order a drink straight from the slot they are playing at without having to flag down a cocktail waitress. This I believe is being introduced but first at Harrah's Resort in AC (saw on their twitter page and they had begun switching out slot machines when I was last there in January with this new option) and afterwards to their other CET branded casinos. While this is a good idea, I can only assume that they are firing cocktail waitresses.

Thought this was worth sharing...

They have this at Bally's AC as well and I have used the system. I am not sure it will replace cocktail waitresses and the waitress still has to bring the drink to you --- one waitress may be able to cover a slightly larger area but I doubt it and in AC many of them have pretty strong unions. And there is still a variety of things the machine won't cover (I like my coffee a specific way, with specific type of sweetner for example), others might want top-shelf liquor and these options are not available.

It does seem to be faster than
1) wait for server
2) flag her down
3) order
4) hope she shows up again

This total touch drink ordering has been at Horseshoe Hammond for quite a while. I definitely agree that it is generally faster (and more accurate).

Used it there on Friday and it is very efficient. The servers come pretty quickly.

Used it last month at Harrah's Rincon.

This feature is also at Harrahs New Orleans. It might be a tad faster, but as usual, I was ready to move on but had to wait for my drink to arrive. Couldn't order any top shelf as mentioned, and it was a difficult menu to get through just to order a simple scotch - no ice.
