Can TotalRewards Comped Nights Be Gifted?

We just completed the TR 6 Destinations Challenge (with a little help from friends.) TR has graciously offered Ms SOZ and me each 1 free night at any Caesar's property in AC. We can't use them. Can they be gifted?

Probably not. The certificates should say if you can use them for someone else. We get an annual gift of 2 free nights for friends and family when we re-qualify for Diamond. The certificate is clear if it can be used for others.

Edited to add that we have given free nights to friends who travel to Vegas with us. We just book 2 rooms. One in my name and one is the Mrs name. She maintains Gold with enough of an ADT to get minimal free night offers. She then adds them to the room and has them use their Credit card for incidentals.

Yes,

But, you have to check-in; and then add the guest to the room folio.

It's very common for folks to 'gift' comp rooms; but the 'player' has to be available to check-in. (with rare exceptions, you can get away with NOT being present... emphasis on the 'rare!')

In that case, the comps will be wasted.

Do you know if TR has any flexibility in relocating the comps to a more convenient property? We're going to Vegas mid-October for a multiday road trip to Zion/Bryce Canyon. We could use one free night at the end before our flight home.

TR is purposely trying to 'entice' you to stay/play in different markets.

With that being said, there are often comped rooms (or reduced $ rooms) available in all markets. Just 'log-in' and check the market on the applicable dates. You do NOT have to have an offer, to get a comp room. Though, sometimes offers will allow you to get rooms when you can't regularly through the booking interface (or, the offers include other bennies such as free play, F&B, shows, tournaments etc.).

If the web site doesn't offer you a comped room, then call 1-800-HARRAHS and ask again.
