Same day confirmed still exist?

I’m 100k but have never used the same day flexibility benefits. Old forum posts seems to suggest you could pay a fee as a non elite to make a same day change and that the fee is waived for elites. But when I view the current frontier website I can’t find any mention of any sort of same day confirmed change policy except that you can make a change and pay the difference in fare?

There is mention of same day standby for flights earlier or later. Can this be done on the phone or website or social media in advance or can it only be done at the airport? If I try to standby for a later flight what happens if there ends up not being seats that day?

Still free for elites if there is availability. https://www.flyfrontier.com/myfronti...enefitsDetails
You used to be able to do it on the phone back when that was an option... I haven't tried to do it via chat.

The text on their travel policies page seems clear enough. You can standby for a later flight, but if you can't get on it you're out of luck. Seems like it really should only be used as a last resort/longshot if you miss your earlier flight and the later flight is already full.

Oh fantastic, might you be able to shed a bit more light on the process? I found this webpage which covers SDS/SDC (fourth section), but there are still a few details which are unclear.
  • Are you able to change routing? For SDS they say you "must follow the originally ticketed itinerary," but for SDC they don't say anything.
  • Do most airport agents or "call center" agents seem to be familiar with the feature, or that it's complimentary for 100k? Sometimes the airport agents aren't even sure how to sell a ticket. :D
  • Is the travel time-frame by calendar day, or just +/- 24 hours of the scheduled departure of the first segment?
  • Is the change time-frame midnight of the same calendar day, time zone of the first segment's departure? Or just 24 hours before the ticketed departure?
  • Is it better to not check in first if you're pursuing an SDC?
Hopefully this wasn't too much, thanks for your time though.

I think the quick answer is that it's going to be up to the discretion of the individual employee. In the past, when I called in, the agents never knew it was free for elites and they would have to escalate to a supervisor to confirm. When I've SDC'd in-person, it's been 50/50. I have successfully changed to a flight a full 24 hours before my scheduled flight, but I was surprised they allowed it. It's not a big deal if you're already checked-in, but they will have to undo it if you SDC.

Ok gotcha, thanks. Sounds like it's an uncommonly-used feature, so for most employees, it's a new frontier.

Wanted to bump this up to ask the same. I've got some mileage and a Go Wild! bookings coming up, have Elite Gold, and wondering I can stand by in either case for an earlier or later flight. I see some older posts saying this is possible for elites and seems it was on the website before but I don't see anything like this anymore. Previous references to stand by seem to be more than a year old. Anyone still have luck with doing these?
