I just got double qualifying miles?!

I wasn't aware of any status miles promo but that's what posted to my account for MDW-LAS.

I logged into my account and first noticed that I needed under 3k miles to qualify for 20k (because of unexpected events, I ended up not using my 100k status I got last year from promos as much as I thought I would).

I booked this trip and one next week to get the 6k status miles I needed but now it appears I'll have 20k after this trip.

Weird that they wouldn't promote this. I specifically have followed the forum to see if there was a promo and there hasn't been.

Has anyone else noticed the double status miles?

If this isn't just a glitch I'm going to have to decide if I still want to come here next week. Flight is only $50 and hotel is $10 (no resort fees for me). I booked short trip so I wouldn't be gone long but with double promo, I won't need that trip.

I don't think Frontier knows what they are doing from one department to the next either. Asking them questions is a waste of time.

Did you get 6k qualifying miles for that trip? It looks like MDW>LAS is around 3k miles. I just did a trip to Phoenix over the weekend. I got the normal qualifying miles but double 2.5x redeemable miles. I am 100k, so should have only been 1.5x redeemable. You have me curious now, so I will do the math and see if they gave me bonus qualifying miles instead.

Yes, it's supposed to be a little over 3k status miles so I got double status miles for some reason.

I just checked.it again..it still in there so appears to be permanent. I'll see tomorrow if I receive it on the return. Might still go next week anyway since it's a cheap trip but I'm sure some on here would book more flights if they knew they were for sure going to get double status miles.

This year I can't make a push towards higher status but normally, had I known about double miles, I would have made a push for 50k.

Interesting. I have 50k status but have enough flights booked to hit 100k. Haven't decided if I want to do it yet since it's a lot of flying in 2 weeks.. but double miles will make it pretty easy.

But my flight that came back yesterday only got regular miles, so might have been a glitch

I”ve done all the mileage promos but have not received double status miles. Just the multiplier for bonus miles. Lucky you.

I purchased several tickets under a fare sale in November. The tickets fell within the parameters of the deal in the link below.

I received 2x status miles and what looks like 3x the reward miles for the trips so far.

I believe that you had to purchase your tickets in November to qualify. The fly dates are 11/8/22 to 12/31/22. Please see the link for the details.

That sounds right. I used some fare code when I booked these trips so I guess I'll get double for return flight and trip next week. Didn't even know I had booked under a promo.

I guess I'll just likely go next week. Get 9k something redeemable (status miles will be useless bc I'll already be 20k) for my $50 flight.

The thing is, the promo was supposed to be ONLY for bonus miles, not qualifying Elite miles.

If you were not a DiscountDen member, but had a FrontierMiles account, you would get 2x bonus. If you were a DiscountDen member, you would get 3x.

It doesn't make sense that this is posting for Elite miles as well. I'm pretty confused on that. I do have a flight tomorrow that was booked during this promo window. We'll see what happens I guess.

Data Point: I also got double status miles & double redeemable miles from what I normally get (50K elite, DD member), despite not signing up for any promo. Didn't need them since I had already met 20K requirements and won't be coming close to 50K.
Flew RT 12/6 and 12/7. Purchased on 11/20/22

interesting. I had a flight 11/29 that was booked in the promo window. I got regular status miles and 2.5x redeemable miles. Supposed to get 3x with Discount Den.

The key is when it was booked, which had to be anytime between Nov 8-30th.

I booked 4 in the November window with enough EQMs between them (at 1X) to put me over the top on 20K elite. So far two have posted at 2x for EQMs and 3X for RDMs + the 25% status bonus, making it 3.25X for RDMs. The amounts for the EQMs weren't expected but are welcome.

Good thing, too, since they messed up my short LAS run with a 7-hour delay due to crew issues that wasn't announced until the original departure time. I bailed on that and requested the refund. They also haven't posted one of the segments I took but maybe the boarding pass didn't scan into the system? So I'm down to the last run this weekend which would do it by itself at 2X, if the luck continues there.

I booked 4 flights in the Nov promo bonus miles window (Nov 8th-30th). Just flew LAS-ATL on a RT flight yesterday. Standard accrual for a leg of this flight is 1748 miles one way, 3496 miles RT.

However, I got 3496 EQM and 5244 RDM for each leg of this flight. That means I got a total of 6992 EQM and 10,488 RDM from this trip posted to my account.

That is 2x on status miles and 3x on redeemable miles. I have a Discount den membership. I wasn't expecting those amounts for EQM but wow am I super happy!

I have three more trips left to take that were booked during the promo period:
LAS-DEN
LAS-MDW
LAS-BWI

While happy that this glitch occurred and is bringing me even closer to reaching 50k status (9.05k to go with this recent unexpected boost), I'm wondering if I should book one last quick trip just in case Frontier notices their errors and I still want to get to 50k status? I could do a quick mileage run from LAS-DEN...

None of this makes sense. I booked 11/20 and flew 12/4 and got regular qualifying miles and 3.5x bonus miles as discount den member.

Im current 100k sitting at 57k miles for the year. I had enough flights booked to meet 100k again but decided thats too much flying so started canceling day by day.

Maybe ill do my flight saturay and see if its doible miles for status. Its to San Diego so normally 4k miles.. if i get double Ill do the rest of the flights i have booked for next week and get 100k again.

But its odd that i didnt get double from the last flight last week.

That's part of the reason I'm still going on my trip next week. Figure there's a small chance they do some.clawback so I might as well take my $50 flight next week. Plus 1.5 days in Vegas didn't allow me to see everything I wanted to see.

Yeah you're right that it doesn't make sense. I've learned that with Frontier, sometimes their promo doesn't always align with the terms and conditions. I posted the T&C for this NOV promo. It doesn't say no to status miles but it doesn't explicitly state it either. That can either be in your favor or against your favor. I was ok not getting 50k although would be nice, so any EQM I get will just be a bonus now.

I decided against doing any extra flights and will just let what happens, happens. Hope you get those extra EQM!

It looks like a couple of folks who received the double status miles booked their flights on 11/20/22.

As I mentioned previously, I received double status miles and triple redeemable miles - and interestingly, I also booked flights on 11/20/22.

Was there some other promotion/deal that we inadvertently stumbled upon? I’m just thankful that I can go over 20k miles with my next flight (and that I don’t have to take all of the other cheap mileage runs that I booked).

Edit: ok I am debunking my own theory. I just saw that someone else booked on 11/20/22 and did NOT get double status miles. Back to the drawing board. 🙂

Got double qualifying miles on my flight yesterday. If I would have known my +1 would have come with, since it would have put her over the finish line for re-upping her status. Oh well.

I would. But I am 100k and can cancel w full refund. If you can't cancel with refund or credit then I would do only
if they are cheap flights. Or wait until you see if you really need another flight.

I am completing 100k on Alaska airlines this weekend and I can cancel with no penalty and funds go for future bookings so i had backup flights and the backup flights also had backup flights. And i am using one of the backup flights this weekend.

Just completed the first leg of a mileage run for MCO>SAN... 2147 EQM and 5367 redeemable. I am DD and Elite 100k. Flights booked 11/20. So Im getting 2.5x reward miles and standard EQM. Apparently Frontier doesn't like me because I didn't get the 20k bonus miles from October with the 2 roundtrip flights promotion... congrats to everyone getting double EQMs. I'm jealous 😁

Booked 11/8 for my trip and got double EQM. Confused to say the least. I would have booked a lot more had I known this bonus was there, but right now it's tough to say whether this was an IT glitch or not.

Just finished 2.5/3 trips from the Nov booking promo period mentioned earlier in the thread.

LAS-DEN: I got regular EQM and RDM.
LAS-MDW: I got regular EQM and RDM for one leg and the second leg has not been credited at all yet.
LAS-BWI: I got 2x EQM and 3x RDM for the first leg. Will find out about the second leg near the end of the year.

I'm so close to reaching 50k status at this point, but these mile accruals make no sense. Frontier is weird. Oh well! lol
