Pilot Missing - Got confused between am/pm
So first trip on F9
Based on horror stories ignored attractive fare on outbound but didnt care about inbound,so took chance on F9 and it lived up to its "reputation" 12:10 am flight from hub Denver was boarded and ready to push of on time. Co-Pilot announced that there is no ATC delays and weather is good and origin,destination and along the way but.. ...they can not locate the pilot. Half an hour later, she announced that pilot was located but he confused am with pm and hence new pilot will have to be brought in In spite DEN being hub F9 could not get anyone for 3 hours. Domestic travel is horror show even on majors ATC delays are common Weather is unpredictable Cost-cuting has increased MX cases but a) unprofessional pilot? b) airline has no way to track pilot until few minutes before departure?? Arent pilots required to "check-in" at some point before flight? Dont airlines keep spare staff at their primary hub any more? |
Maybe it wasn't the AM/PM. Might have been the snooze; or the volume. :D
