Frontier Elite Status
Does the Elite qualification requirement of 20,000 miles need to be in a calendar year (Jan 1 to Dec 31), or is it 20k miles over any consecutive 12 months?
As of today my qualifying miles is listed at 11,000 - but I haven't flown at all this year (during Jan 2017) The total of 11k qualifying miles I have seems to be for a few flights I made this fall... leading me to believe that the requirement is for any 12 consecutive month period. |

Once you qualify for Elite status, you will automatically be upgrade and receive Elite Status benefits for one full year (365 days)! Don't forget, to keep your Elite status you must re-qualify every year You might check their Twitter account as they do tend to respond directly. |
https://www.flyfrontier.com/ways-to-...bership-guide/ , in the "Award Tickets" part of the page, says:
"To qualify for Elite Status, you must fly 20,000+ miles or 25+ segments within a 365 rolling calendar year. Your status will begin immediately upon reaching these qualifications, and you’ll have 365 days to requalify for the following year." What does "365 rolling calendar year" mean? To me, "rolling" means the period can start on any date and ends 365 days later, but "calendar year" means it starts on Jan. 1. |

It is however possible to argue that if you qualify as Elite and keep extending your qualifications for the preceding 365 days you anniversary date keeps extending. |
