Personal item (instead of carry on)
Me and my little family will be flying from CA to NC for a weekend visit to see my son stationed at Camp Lejeune. Since its only for a weekend I know I can get each of us to fit what we need in a backpack or tote bag. If its within dimension guidelines. Can we get the backpack to pass off as our Personal Item or would we have to pay carry on fees?

I did this once for a trip to Florida and fit all my clothes plus full snorkel gear in a backpack! From Frontier's website: "KNOW BEFORE YOU GO! Whenever I fly Frontier I travel with my backpack, often stuffed to being pretty full, and I've always been able to use it as my personal bag.
