Frontier miles, keep or trade?

We moved from Denver almost 4 years ago, and my husband and I each have around 31,000 miles in our Frontier accounts. We now live in the DFW area where any Frontier flight requires a connection in Denver. My question is, should we just bite the bullet and try to find a flight within our mileage range or, trade on Points.com for AA miles, which are more valuable to us, but will cost us? Thanks in advance!

You can also trade on the Coupon Connection forum... I believe it has some requirements though (post count, membership age, etc).

If you have absolutely no use for the Frontier miles, then by all means, swap them into AAdvantage. However, your 31,000 Early Returns miles will only be worth roughly 6,000 in AAdvantage through Points.com. Brutal!

Can the OP keep the Frontier miles from expiring?

Thanks for your replies. I've never heard of coupon connection, so I'll check that out. Think we'd be better off using them, then trading for 6,000 AA points, yikes!

Keep I mind the new award redemption fees unless you are elite or have the credit card and all the fees for everything else. These factors make the Frontier miles less valuable in my opinion.

OP,
Get two Frontier credit cards each worth 30000 miles sign up bonus.more too.

Then check on Frontier which other airlines can you travel on .

Frontier has no airline partners, 2 car rental partners (Hertz and Avis) and one hotel partner (Carlson).

I believe Coupon Connection is closed now unfortunately. Or perhaps it just went underground ...

It just has requirements you don't meet, so you can't see it (180 posts, some duration of registration requirements)

Odd, it's there. The Coupon Connection. There is now an intercept disclaimer page you need to agree to before seeing the forum.
