They are transforming into a Spirit clone slowly and I wouldn't be surprised to see the elimination of the elite program at some point in the next year or two. People complain about the service and sometimes rightfully so but Spirit makes a helluva good profit. Its unfortunate and alot of you should indeed go to WN or UA. But don't worry you won't be homesick, I hear that UA and WN are taking things away and screwing with the FF benefits too (just in a different way) :D

I am a summit member and have been watching this airline slowly devalue their best customers. I sure wish I had never left United. I flew Spirit one time and swore I would never fly them again. Now I see frontier going to the same business model. I have 300k miles... It's time to start using them up and checking out of this airline.

What American Airlines started in the last century is as dead as that era.
Customer loyalty to any one airline means little these days, as you can buy the "benefits" on the rare occasions you might fly. But as long as people remain addicted to the "special" status that airlines convince them of, with the special gold or platinum cards :rolleyes: , there is little incentive for the airlines to stop ripping off customers. |
