Milwaukee: Only remaining direct flights are Denver?

Hey Guys,

I don't keep up with Frontier much since they pulled out of Milwaukee, but I still have a credit card with them and I'm close to the 20,000 mile mark for a round trip (If I can find one that low). I though when Frontier originally pulled out of Milwaukee that they still had around 4-5 direct flight cities. I know the total outgoing flights were cut to around 10. I looked today and it appears the only direct flights left out of Milwaukee are 3/day to Denver.

Can anyone confirm my thoughs? Were there more cuts recently? I can't find any information about the issue. Also, now that I'm thinking about it...some of them might be seasonal flights.

Thanks,
-Que

According to the flight map on the website, MKE has exactly one destination these days on F9 - DEN.

On F9? Probably never.

With only three flights to Denver we now see the complete elemination of Midwest.

But hey, the Milwaukee airport thread lives on here. So we got that going for us. Which is nice.

And with the de-hubbing of the MKE airport thread on this forum, We will now see this forum become a vast wasteland. Just like F9 in MKE. At 500+ posts it was the biggest thing going here.

Surely the board is what anyone makes it, and there's a lot more to Frontier than MKE airport, obviously these days.

I've tried, but whenever I post here I feel that I am fighting the ghost of Midwest/MKE. So if it is a hangover Midwest/MKE board perhaps there is now no place for Frontier here? Or perhaps it should be archived and a new Frontier board started?

While it was appropriate to move that thread, I am sorry to see it. There is no way I am going to FlyerTalk Forums > Destinations > America - USA > Midwest to see what is happening at MKE.

Is Frontier still paying the leases for all those empty gates at MKE?

That must cost them a pretty penny.

Maybe there is another carrier in the future that will buy Frontier and use all those gates. Who knew that MKE could become a ULCC mecca?

They have these things on browsers called bookmarks, you know.

And who knows? You might find out some interesting nuggets about Chicago, Indianapolis, etc.

I know that FT tried a set of forums just for airports years ago, but for some reason they never caught on.
