Combining PNRs on Frontier
I'll be traveling with my family in March on Frontier (with Summit status), and have tickets booked, and my mother-in-law decided she would like to join us, and booked the same ticket separately. She is now asking about sitting with us - is it possible to combine her pnr onto our existing pnr so that she can enjoy the benefits and sit with us, or will she be stuck in the back of the plane? I called a telephone agent, and she said all she could do was note in her PNR that she was traveling with a Summit member, and they would try and accommodate at the airport - sounds like SOL to me...

I often ran into this very issue when using miles for one person and $$ for the other person. My Summit benefits did not extend to them because they could not be booked in the same PNR. |
I've run into this many times when traveling with non-status companions if we book separately for various reasons. They have always been accommodating at the gate as long as there are seats available. One of the great things about Frontier in my opinion that sets them apart from the larger carriers, is that they are willing and able to "bend" the rules like this, rather than being hamstrung by systems or policy.
