I agree. The problem is that F9's network offers very little to the current major carriers. DEN and MKE are of little value to UA, US, or DL. AA may have some limted use for F9 out west.

F9 may have to establish partnerships with various carriers similar to AS. I'm surprised they haven't approached BA to codeshare on COS, ASE, or DRO.

Anyway, it's more than just distance. It's complicated stuff like loads, prevailing winds, etc, etc.
