Proposed changes to Frontier website

For those of us who have been used to using the YX website, the current F9 website takes a little time to figure out, in order to get the most out of it.

Some aspects of the current site are just a little on the sloppy side. When clicking on My Itineraries, the following message appears:

There is no reservations in your trip planner.

Assuming that the current Frontier site will continue to be used, after the single platform is in place, what proposed changes do you suggest?

That's weird, because I don't even see an option called "My Itineraries" on the Frontier site. When I login to frontierairlines.com the site takes me directly to a page called "My Reservations" where it lists all of my upcoming trips. If I don't want to login, then I can enter my record locator and last name on the homepage and it transfers me to Sabre's site at virtuallythere.com where I can see a particular itinerary.

This suggestion is for ALL sites that use a calendar system to select dates... I wish they used the system that Delta Airlines uses. It shows you two months at a time and if you need to go 9 months out, you don't have to keep clicking on a stupid arrow to move you forward, but rather select from a drop down box the month you want to look at. It's a time saver.

I don't recall how I got to the "My Itineraries" page; it might have been thru trip planning.

I can view "My Reservations," but I am not able to view my itineraries at Virtually There. I wonder if this is because the flights are Midwest, as operated by Republic, and not Frontier.

Yes, either this method, or offer the Midwest site options of being able to actually type in the dates or select from a calendar, not requiring clicking on a calendar.

I think I've mentioned this elsewhere, but I really wish the Frontier site had a better way to modify a search, or at least retain the information when you used the back button or choose start over.

When you price a reservation, and then want to modify what you searched for, there's nothing you can do but start from scratch.

Well said and I agree completely.

I think United.com does a good job with this. From the flight selection and price page, you can easily change dates, class, etc.

Southwest has a low fare finder calendar, which is a nice option. You can search an entire month at a glance, for the lowest fare available on a particular date.

Frontier has this to a limited extent, showing several days of fares; but, again, if you want to change to a different week or month, you must re-enter all of the information in the search boxes.

Agreed! Also, when making a selection, it would be nice if the +/- 3 days scrolled with you so that the day you are looking at is always in the middle.

My future reservations never show up on Virtually There. They were booked on the Midwest Site. I have Midwest and Frontier record locator's, neither locator works.

What will the future hold? Let's hope we have the ability to change seats or buy an upgraded fare without having to call reservations.

In the lower right hand corner of the main frontier airlines website is a little [+] Feedback button. Clicking on it gives you the option to submit your suggestions. Why not go directly to the source rather than just list your preferences here on this forum?

+1, Although, I'm not sure that does any good. They most likely have their minds made up what the finished product will look like.

Like it or not, that is what we are going to be stuck with.

Don't be too sure. I submitted the suggestion that you should be able to view seat map prior to booking your flight (that previously had not been a feature of the website). I never got a response from anyone, but about a month later the seat maps became available. So, if they get consistent feedback, it probably helps.

New website due to be rolled out mid April. It will be interesting to see how many of our wishlist requests will be fulfilled.

Rebooking and changing seats will surely be a couple of the improvements with the new site. Just those two changes, alone, will greatly help reduce hold times to the call center.
