Sweeps Between YX and F9 Miles Programs?

Presumably, the frequent flyer programs between Midwest and Frontier will be combining in the next several months (Oct 1?).

Assuming the company sets up some routine to automatically transfer Midwest Miles over to Frontier at a certain point in time, will future Midwest Miles postings be accepted by Midwest and get swept over to Frontier or will these postings be rejected because the Midwest account no longer is valid?

I'm specifically thinking of slow posting partners such as Live Search.

Transferring begins September 15:

On October 1 I assume that all Midwest miles will be folded over into Frontier's program. I have no idea if they will be issueing new numbers or if you get to keep the Midwest one.

Either way I wouldn't worry too much about losing miles. Just start using your Frontier FF number for any upcoming flights and transfer the MM over in September.

Uh oh...that was supposed to begin in July, and it was a keystone in requesting the merged forum. Next thing we'll be un-merged! ;-)

From YX website:

Q. What will happen to my frequent flyer account and miles?
A. Be assured that your account will remain open and your miles will be retained. Miles will not be lost in the integration process. You can continue to earn and redeem miles in your respective program until they are combined in the fall of 2010. At that time, Midwest Miles accounts and miles will be transitioned to a new Frontier account. Midwest Miles members will retain their existing frequent flyer account number under the Frontier program.

Don't let Markie hear that, he'll introduce a motion to put the forums back the way the were.
