Early Returns Program Changes
I just received this email from F9...
"Greetings FriendlySkies, We hope your 2010 is off to a great start and that it will be a year of exciting new horizons. At Frontier, we anticipate 2010 to be a year of opportunity and growth as we integrate with our new partners. This opportunity and growth brings benefits to you, our loyal customers. Redemption level changes, reduced blackout dates, reduction in tier-qualifying segments and more . . . Redemption Levels Reduced In an effort to align our program with our codeshare partner Midwest Airlines, we’ve reduced quite a few award levels which take effect immediately – so feel free to book your next award seat at a lower rate!
Redemption Level Changes - Effective June 15, 2010 On June 15, 2010, roundtrip domestic redemption tickets will increase from 20,000 miles to 25,000 miles and roundtrip Mexico redemptions will increase from 30,000 miles to 35,000 miles– so you have until that time to book those types of redemption tickets at the current rate. Reduced Redemption BlackOut Dates Blackout dates for redemption tickets have been reduced! The list is much shorter, meaning that you’ll be able to book award travel on dates which were previously blacked out. As always, know that we truly value YOU, our wonderful EarlyReturns members. Make sure you stay tuned to additional news and great promotions/offers in 2010. Thank you! Your Frontier EarlyReturns team" |

Wow, I just got off a horrendous flight on F9, and got this email as we landed. I wrote a multi-page complaint. I'll hold judgement on the new rewards program and the overall changes until I see how they handle my complaint.

Frontier watered down their redemption from 15k miles to 20k miles about 2 years ago. Now its 25k for a RT ticket.
I stuck with them in the move to 20k as it was still a decent value, but its clear there are better options out there for the infrequent flyer like myself. |
