easy way to keep account active?

I have something like 15,002 miles that are about to expire. Is there a free or cheap way to earn a few miles (other than flying or applying for a credit card) that will allow me to keep these miles active?

Buy a t shirt, save your miles.

You can always donate miles to one of several charities (min 1000). This will keep the account active.

A one day car rental will do it.
