F9 in BOS

Any chance, currently united has the only NS service!!! Seems like the biggest east coast market they do not serve!

Actually, jetBlue has 1 nonstop in the market. As far as F9 goes, I recall reading an article in the local paper a few months ago concerning their route selection analysis. DEN-BOS was mentioned as a route that was considered and rejected. The long distance and the relatively low fares in the market would have made it unprofitable, according to the article.

IIRC, F9 had service to BOS some two or three years ago, but abandoned the route due to low passenger loads. My guess is that it will be quite some time before F9 tries BOS again.

Due to the lack of a DEN-BOS route on F9, I will be going for Airtran Airways (FL), via ATL, when I visit BOS in August.

The timing is very bad, as I will have a 4.5-hour layover in LAX before my FL flight departs at 10:00pm for ATL, another 4.5 hours away. Then, it's another 1.5-hour layover before I board my 2.5-hour flight for BOS.

If F9 served BOS, I would gladly choose the 8:45pm flight out of LAX, land in DEN the same evening and sleep the rest of the night way on DEN-BOS!
