Recommend Frontier
 

I have never flown Frontier and don't know anything about them.

I'm looking to book a group with them or American Air.

Is there much or any difference? (price is lower)

I would be willing to pay more for frontier over AA anyday.

I think Frontier has a very nice product. Their people are nice, their planes are nice, they have satelite tv on almost all their planes now, they serve food on many flights. Honestly, if given the choice, I would fly Frontier over AA.

If you have to have video entertainment, then F9 would be your choice. But if you're
tall like I am, AA with more room throughout coach wins forever.
Many people have reported that Frontier serves food, but it must only be on the long flights to the east coast. I have gone DEN-SEA, PDX, MSP, DFW, AUS, and ABQ on F9 and there hasn't been any food on those flights, just the standard chips with your beverage.

I'll be going Sacramento Ca to Cancun, stopping in Denver. I'm going with a large group and responsible for putting the trip together so if it goes bad, I get the blame. AA's flight path is a little more direct, but also more $$.
Frontier has a package price that's better so with the above replies, I think frontier looks good for me.

The issue with MRTC on AA is that it is now not totally guaranteed with the changes that they have done with their aircraft as of late.

Even though Dallas may seem to be a more direct route, connecting in Dallas rather than Denver may be a lots more troublesome with a large group due to the size of the DFW operation for AA.

The flight down to Cancun will be on an A319 that has DirectTV service. I have heard that DirectTV is free on flights to Mexico since the signal is lost about an hour out from the destination, however I have not flown to Mexico on F9.

The food that I have experienced to the west coast is from Denver is a warm bagel in the morning. Returning in the afternoon, it is a bag of pretzels.

I have been flying Frontier often as of late, and enjoy their service, and the staff.

MRTC is a wonderful coach product, but so too is F9's seating, at least on their A319's. The F9 seat pitch does not give the typical traveler the same cramped feeling that comes with traveling on, say, something like E- on UA. Pay the lower fare on F9 and be confident that you will have a comfortable flight.
