This contest is definitely more of a challenge than the previous one. OK, how about stats for the first puzzle prize? I did in in 5 tries and 48 seconds ^

Thanks for the link!

tazi May 4, 2006 7:24 am

Bah! I can't get past the sliding pieces puzzle!!!

Flyingmama May 4, 2006 7:33 am

Me neither! The cryptyx was bad enough - also five tries in about five minutes - but the sliding blocks are going to drive me nuts!

The puzzle of Sacre Coeur was easy once I figured out I could take a print screen of the second hint (where they show the outline of the puzzle pieces) and refer back to it, but the sliding blocks is doing me in.

Anyone have a hint?

Ah, that one wasn't so bad. I figured out there were two of each peice and they mirror each other to do that one. Forgot about using hints.

The hints really help on some of the puzzles. I liked this Da Vinci one, since it is well scripted and drawn. They puzzles definitely are more challenging. Finished last night and waiting for the next round on May 19.

Good for you! :) I'm still hung up on the sliding blocks. Got everything else but that. You'll have to let us know how difficult the next set is.

My husband managed the sliding blocks.. it involved maths and lots of thought.. i dont think its easy if you just randomly move the bits - you have to think it out.. hope that helps!

fly4miles May 12, 2006 7:09 pm

The blocks were bad but the torn blueprint puzzle was worse. I finally did a screen shot of the hint to piece it all together. You get a second hint. Take another screen shot to figure out the few remaining pieces out of order.

Has everyone finished level 3? I don't think I'm a contender for any of the end of level three prizes - LOL. Couldn't break the last cryptex code puzzle in under ten minutes, sigh. :o

tazi May 25, 2006 5:24 am

I gave up :(

Need help!

I'm currently doing the Pyramid game where you have to find the names of seven of the Grand Priory Masters. I've found six but can't find the last one. Any ideas?

Leonardo Da Vinci
Jacques Sauniere
Claude Debussy
Jean Cocteau
Victor Hugo
Isaac Newton
?

Try Nicolas Flamel. It worked for me. I finished the last of the cryptex ciphers in 10 minutes + in 22 tries. I opted out for 2 more attempts and let the first one fly. Good luck! ^

Strawb May 25, 2006 6:39 pm

Found it! Thanks fly4miles.

The cryptex is a crap shoot. If the opening one gives you lots of yellows and greens to work with, you have a chance. But if you're like me and mostly get reds and yellows at the beginning, there isn't a hope of ending in a decent time. My best was 9 tries in 10 minutes - definitely not good enough.
