Cannes First Week of September?
Hello everyone,
I'm contemplating a jaunt to the Carlton in Cannes the first week in September (returning the 7th) and am wondering if a) it'll still be warm, b) there will still be any signs of life, c) if people will actually be at the beach and/or swimming, and d) if I'm better off going somewhere farther south? Merci, Steven |
The first week of September will be perfectly fine. Just a little colder than in August
It's a shame you are not Royal Ambassador. You will be upgraded to a magnificent suite with sea view. Do not miss the breakfast. Not cheap but definitely wort it. |
I've been before and I actually prefer the buffet lunch over breakfast (even more expensive). And, I will be RA by then, so that's nice.
But you think the weather and sea temp will be reliable, and that Cannes won't be completely deserted? |
the weather should be fine
but do not expect the August action (the Cannes International Boat and Yacht show starts 9th September) |
cannes early september
Early september in Cannes is very warm and usually means you avoid the heat wave so that's good. French schools start again on September 3 and 4 so most French tourists will be back home except the retired and families with very young children - although I'd think families with very young children would not necessarily choose Cannes as a destination. It's still busy and active but nothing like may through august busy.
