Kosher restaurant in Paris
I've got a friend in town who keeps kosher -- can anyone recommend a Kosher restaurant in Paris? Pitchi Poi is about the only one I can find listed in Zagat other than the odd falafel place (would prefer a restaurant that serves meat, if possible).
Many thanks for any help! |
I don't have any personal recommendations, but here's a listing:

RE:Kosher restaurants in Paris
Marky's deli on rue Rosier used to be pretty good for hamburgers, etc.(I haven't been there for a while, since I always end up getting falafel elsewhere).
Its almost across the street from the well-know L'As du Falafel, the best falafel place in the Marais, and it's painted bright green. |
Micky's Deli - I had many non-Kosher co-workers addicted to their burgers.

In the end, we ate at Kavod in the 8th arrondisement. Beautiful restaurant inside and fantastic, friendly, attentive service, reasonable wine list and a menu heavy on Foie Gras.
I ordered a coquelet and was a little disappointed, given the €29 price -- it was served without sauce or garniture, and the iceberg lettuce side salad at €6 wasn't great value either. On the other hand, my friends reported that their steaks were delicious, so maybe I just chose poorly (although I did order the coquelet on the waiter's recommendation). In summary, if you need an up-market Kosher restaurant in Paris, Kavod's not bad -- but a better choice if you're on expenses than if you're paying out of your own pocket... |
