Rugby World Cup
 

Anyone going to be in the South of France for the World Cup of Rugby.

OR any helpful suggestions for someone traveling to Montpellier (near Marseille) or St. Etteinne (near Lyon) at the end of September would be welcome.

What dates ?

Sept 25 - Oct 1

Will be attending the first match of RWC 2007 on Friday night at Stade de France between France and Argentina.

Possibly attending South Africa-Samoa on Sunday afternoon 1400 at Parc des Princes if I can grab some last minute tix at the door. Need to find a place showing telecast of Canada's first game on Sunday at 1600 against Wales. Canada has high hopes (once again ! :D:rolleyes::o) for this RWC !!!!

A very bad performance on the field by France tonight. Argentina played a solid game and won 17-12.

I have seen the XV de France play live about 25 times in the past 12 years and this was the absolute worst......they really stunk up the joint in front of 79,314 spectators at Stade de France in Game #1 of RWC 2007.

They'll have to rise to the occasion big-time against Ireland now...never an easy task.

How expensive are tickets to this event? I'll be in Paris in three weeks and would be interested. I'd probably take my Dad but he's never been to a rugby match and doesn't drink beer. Do you think a novice would find it interesting?
