Overnighting in CDG terminal
Hi all
Friend is arriving CDG on Air France from Toulouse on last flight in of the day, at 2220. They are departing early the next morning on SAS at 0705 for CPH and LED. By the time bags etc collected it will be 2300, and SAS check-in presumably opens at about 0430, so they will not get a hotel. Not knowing CDG well enough myself, where is the best place to advise them to spend the intervening hours. They have never been to CDG at all. |
Take a look at www.sleepinginairports.net.
And good luck to all! |
Find a cheap room at one of many hotels within shuttle distance. There is nowhere to sleep at CDG... and I mean nowhere. A friend of mine tried to do that while waiting for me to meet him, and he was up all night. There are few chairs, and they are very uncomfortable. There is no waiting area to crash, either. Spend 50-80 bucks for a hotel, or else stay up all night.

The french hotel chain Accor (www.accorhotels.com) has several very inexpensive hotels (Ibis sub-brand) that it says are within 5 minutes of the airport. One is even said to be "in the airport" (although you'll still need transportation to get to your flight; however, there is a free shuttle). Depending on the date, the price can be as low as 40-50 euros.

total time from leaving my room thru checkout to the bus and into the temrinal 20 mintues at best. n.b. there are 2 novotels at cdg and make sure you choose the one AT cdg not the one off airport. you want the one with the train station. |

Thanks for comments on hotels all, but traveller in question is a Russian student going home and would think a hotel room for 5.5 hours is a waste of Euros beyond reason.
