Getting to Paris 6th from CDG
I am planning a trip to Paris and will be arriving at 20h30 at CDG. What would you say is the best way to get to the 6. Arr. ? We will be staying at the Holiday Inn St.Germaine.
Thanks! |
In the evening like this, and with baggage, I am not sure that I would recommend the RER. So your best bet might be to take the Air France bus to Gare de Lyon and then a taxi. It's not very far so you should pay well under 10 euros for the taxi.

cdg to 6th
Since you are arriving rather late in the evening a taxi would surely be your best option. I have no first hand experience with the taxis from CDG to Paris, but Iīve seen fares around 50 euro mentioned.
You could also take the Roissy bus:Se details here http://tinyurl.com/32ucu - and then make it by metro, the rest of the way. Nearest metro to you hotel is St Placide, but Rennes is also close by as well as the large Montparnasse station . Third option are the RER trains from the airport. You would get off at Denfert Rochereau, and then change to the metro line 4, that goes by St Placide. Details here: http://tinyurl.com/2yzww. Note that you can buy a combined RER and metro ticket for 7.75 euro. |

But if you take the Air France bus, donīt get off at Lyon, go to Montparnasse station instead. From there its about 1 km to the hotel - St Placide metro station is one stop from Montparnasse. Last Line4 AF bus seems to leave the airport at 21.30 (9.30PM) Air France busses: http://tinyurl.com/2tkbr |
Look at a shuttle service (e.g. Bee-Shuttle).
