I'm going to bump this one to the top again so folks know it is here. Please feel free to add your own and I'll edit the master list.

dingo,
why don't you ask the moderator to make this thread a 'sticky'? That way it will stay on top. |
Good idea Bill...but I don't see any mods listed for this forum.

Walking tours
Here's a link for self-guide walking tours - it gives suggestions for 3 different walks. http://www.frommers.com/destinations...062010008.html

A couple of other links
http://www.pari-roller.com/?lang=en - This is for the Friday night roller blade event.
http://www.lonelyplanet.com/destinat...aris/index.htm - more General Paris info Also FYI - Under general Paris info, you have anamericaninparis.com listed twice. Thanks for this wonderful post. It is great to have the links all in one place and find new sites others have discovered. I always compile a collection of links before my trips, but then I inadvertently delete it and lose all of my research, so it's good to have this post as a starting point. ^ |
Thanks Buffy. Added your three. The new forums make it more difficult to edit the original post, but I think I have a method to the madness. There is a limit of 10,000 characters in posts and b/c of the way the links get stored when I edit the original it thinks there are over 13,000. So I'm maintaining the list in Word as well and just copying/pasting.

i have none to add, Dingo, but wanted to thank you for this INVALUABLE resource.....

Here is mine
When I was living in Paris every two weeks I got my copy of FUSAC - a great classified ads paper for the english speaking community in Paris. They are online too. There are some great classified ads for people looking for an apartment to rent(long term and short term) or language classes or anything.
http://www.fusac.org/en/index.php Here´s a short presentation copied from their site: "Created in 1988 by John VandenBos, FUSAC (France USA Contacts) is a free magazine containing classified ads and advertisements for the English-speaking community (Americans, British, Canadians, Australians, New Zealanders, etc.) of Paris and the surrounding area. Sixty-thousand copies are distributed every two weeks to a variety of places frequented by English-speakers (restaurants, businesses, bookstores, embassies and consulates . . . ). FUSAC is well-known for ads offering employment and housing. In addition, FUSAC contains ads for all aspects of the English-speaking community: music, dance, theatre, courses in English and French, childcare, computers, cars and household items for sale, meeting places, friendship, and much, much more . . . FUSAC is your best contact with the English-speaking world of Paris" |
