Unfortunately, the Musée des transports is closed for moving to a new location (since 1998) and there is no information available on its projected re-opening date.
Their site, in French, does have lots of pictures and information on the collection, as well as links to other transport museums around the world. http://www.cnam.fr/hebergement/amtuir/ |
Just get on any RER car, they are all antiques in their own right.... http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif

From my experiences to date here in Paris,I have been impressed with the standard and in fact cleanliness of all the metro ,sncf and rer trains.
There is a non smoking policy on the ile de france trains and on the platforms. It came as a pleasant surprise. I have certainly have seen a lot older rolling stock elsewhere. Ozflier |
