CDG Terminal 1 reopening?

AFAIK there has been no word on any proposed reopening date. Starting this thread for anyone to post news as it develops.

not going to reopen anytime soon. They even closed again concourse M of T2E. ADP likes to pack everyone in less terminals in complete disorganization (they are world experts for this) while diffusing every 5 min an announcements in the speakers to comply with social distanciation rules

Exactly what do you think is disorganization during a medical and economic crisis, Goldorak?

The T1 situation at CDG... even Google doesn't have a clue as to what's going on. Transiting through last July, flights on UA and LH, T2 was already highly stressed, and that was with much lower volume that we'll see this summer.

My experience last summer- arrival was well-managed and relatively safe feeling w/regards Covid protocols. But the LH CDG-FRA departure experience bordered on the absurd; I've not often been in more packed-together environments, Covid or not.

Just for the record, Terminal 1 is scheduled to reopen in December 2022, competely renovated.

Thank you! Where does that information come from? Amazing how tough it is to find. I am returning from Europe Dec 7th or 8th; if it's likely T1 would be open by then, I would consider re-routing to transit through it. Need to see if Aeroports du Escher is still a thing. :-)

It's from the website of latribune.fr, but there is a paywall. And the date is not engraved in stone.

Among the changes, 3 non-Schengen satellites are now joined airside. You can see a "preview" here
